not sure about the latest york/ascon but the ones 3-5years ago.. very bland white design type.. is very good work horse.. about noisy but can tahan long hours in shop environment full working hours., i recall higher BTU than panasonic also.. so far used over 10units in 3different shops the last few years.
if compressor spoil or kena curi (yeah happened before in one shop lol..forgot to chain it to the cage) also many technician can get used ones or spares are easy to find.

Variable refrigerant flow VRF.. Simply mean one outdoor unit for multiple indoor split unit... Save space since only one outdoor unit supply to 2-3 split unit.. But the cons is expensive n high electrical consumption.. Better suit for commercial space

I bought Panasonic 2x

out of York, daikin, Panasonic the most expensive. common sense, Acson cheapeast > Panasonic, if ur confident that acson can last u for 10 yrs, then go for it.

1 unit 1.5 hp in my bedroom
1 unit 2.0 hp in my living room. both converter

moved 1 old Panasonic (bought in 2007, from my parent house and installed on my house, still functioning except abit gas leaking)
so far no never encounter a major breakdown.

electricity cost is okay.
RM75++ (2 person living only) aircon switch on from 11pm - 6am (masterbedroom only)
once awhile I will turn on living room aircon on weekend just to keep it running

next year 1jan....mayb I ll turn on fan instead.

Inverter Got lah.. VRF is invented by Daikin long long time ago.. Now they use term VRV.. U can google any manufacturer u like n chances are they have VRV model to choose from.

The correct way to calculate how much cooling power u need is using BTU calculation.. in simple term. bTU give u idea of wat HP to use.. How to implement is totally up to user. For eg. U require 10hp to cool down ur space.. U can either opt for 1unit 10hp unit or 1unit 7.5hp + 1 unit 2.5hp..

Do take note that these unit r refrigerant monger.. Be prepare for uber expensive bill when comes to servicing

I have a original daikin and a panasonic. The panasonic need frequent service due to jelly blocking the cooling coil. The daikin has anti mold feature and don't have mold and jelly problem. Anti mold is must have feature for me . I plan to get a sharp inverter to replace the panasonic.😁

Stay out from ACSON, i buy two, repair one unit and another one remain "Uncold". The explanation from ACSON is so disappointed that , the ACSON aircon cannot match the old National R22 1.5 aircon, or Hitachi 1.5 inverter aircon.

For room 12ft X 12 ft, both my old National and Hitachi aircon with same 1.5hp, able to reach 26 degree within 30 minutes. The new ACSON 1.5hp unable to reach 28 degree after 2 hours! And ACSON are the noisiest. Hitachi aircon is the much better aircon, and the turbo blow of 1.5hp inverter is more powerful than 2.5 HP acson (which i install next door).

Daikin better. Quiet, cooler. If ACSON sellers say both ACSON and Daikin aircon come from same manufacturer, then I question why ACSON aircon come with R410a while Daikin comes with R32 gas? Even they come from the same manufacturer, they use different "technology" with different "gas".

I just bought 2 unit of ACSONS, both give me extremely bad experience.
