At one time I recommend these Edifier bookshelf as cheap audiophile speaker, but after self tested at Harvey Norman store on the R2700 model, I feel disappoint with the speaker.
I connect the speaker with the provided 3.5mm audio jack input to my phone.

I set my phone output to max, and the speaker volume to max. The speaker is very low in loudness, feel like a flawed or defect unit, rather than how it's look telling.
Being the speaker this big in size, it should be very loud, but it very very muted.

I recommend better check in person for the speaker unit before buying.

u tested in a small room or their main hall? R2700 not loud enough for living room, but its more than enough for bedroom. and what else brand or model u can recommend for edifier's price range bookshelf speaker? especially after lazada rm100 voucher. its still a good choice.

Edifier speakers are just regular pc speakers lo... Nothing special.

If you want a decent audiophile grade speaker at the lowest price, try Hivi/Swan. I'm using The M200 Mark II bookshelf speakers. Will definitely blow away any regular pc speaker brows.gif

the price blow me, not the sound.
