Hey guys, I created a site Jimatify.com in the hope to help people to search for the cheapest source for a specific product to "jimat" some money. As you can see from my site, I added affiliate link in order to support the maintenance of the site.

Upon checking several forums including lowyat, I realised that people has been using cashback sites to save money and it makes more sense as a way to save money. So, i am thinking of adding cashback incentive to my site. Meanwhile, feel free to use my site and if possible use my affiliate link occasionally until I implement the cashback feature. Thank you. smile.gif

Sorting of the price doesn't seem to work all the time?

Currently, it does not sort by price but by relevancy. You prefer to sort by price?

Your website is great. The search function return items from many online stores. But the search function could use a little bit refinement, for example when i type tp-link d9, it return all types of tp-link routers and networking products, not just that particular model that i search. Anyway, tq for the hardwork. thumbup.gif

Thanks, Will continue to refine the search engine.

Price priority barulah "jimat" biggrin.gif

Haha, but no point and no "jimat" at all if result not relevant

Cool website, but we really need that sort by price function, even though some unrelated products are shown, it will still be useful. For example if I search TP-LINK ARCHER C7, as I go down the list, I will know the first TP-LINK ARCHER C7 that I want is the cheapest in the entire list. Isn't getting the cheapest price of a product the whole point of your website?

True, will add sort by price to the to-do list. smile.gif Thanks for the comment.

you should probably set a min price field as well as an optional field, so let's say if the search query matches a lot of unrelated stuff that are cheaper than what you're intending to search(i.e I search for iphone 5s but instead iphone cables are filling up the first 10 results because they are cheaper) with min price field we can at least perform more filtering to make a better decision.
I believe it is because of the affiliate and cashback part. lowyat members are very "proactive" at reporting people  brows.gif  brows.gif  doh.gif

Great suggestion. In that case, i think i have to switch it to list view rather than grid view now. Yea, affiliate and cashback part seems like touching on their nerve unsure.gif

Just curious what is the affliate commissions?
*
You mean the percentage?

BTW, just updated jimatify.com upon requests from fellow forumers here. Users can now sort results by price and relevancy.

Not sure whether I am allowed to tell but generally it depends on the type of products, should be around 6 to 10% depending on the types of products.
