i just bought google chromecast using fortune25 code..after discount is RM104

i hope this item works well with my streamyx 4mb speed..
i watch youtube on pc will also lag a bit and the video quality is blur

On PC, you can select the video quality, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p or 2160p.
When you see blur, it is because the line is slow, the player auto choose lower quality video, lower quality video is blur.

Highest quality video of course need at least 10MB or 20MB for really smooth playback. (1080p and above)
But sometime line will slow also, partly due to Youtube server or the line is busy.

And yes, download the video in high quality format is the best recommended way for buffer free playback.
Chromecast streaming quality will be the same, much depend on line speed and server speed.

1080P video steaming through 4Mbps internet will surely lag a bit one. Download and watch lah. Don't watch on the fly. Mine also 4 only. CCB Telekom still yet to bring Unifi to my area.

same like me...stupid TM didn't offer Unifi in mind area..bcos i lived so outskirt from town

Depend on video file, mostly Youtube 1080p video file 1 second used up to 0.5MBps, means at least 512 Kbps, or at least around 4MB line speed.
So, only fully utilize the line speed will get smooth playback, any other device sharing the line will affect the quality.

This also means, 4MB line speed should be fast enough playback at 720p, but a bit hard to archive at 1080p.

You need to choose the quality manually.
If choose auto, for sure mostly auto choose 360p or 480p.

IC, actually I want to say is 512KB/s, the big KB, not the small kb.
Sorry for the typo.

Real 512kbps, only capable of 64KB/s.
So, 360p also cannot play well actually.

4M connection is capable of 512KB/s, max, but mostly stuck at 480KB/s
