Set rm50 are more practical.
There are cases where people not receiving any sms when set at rm1.
Also another so-called reputable member here(also set rm1) die die saying he got charged twice when using his card but as a matter of fact, he swiped twice and ignored the 2 sms he received.

So far Maybank are the best for me, HLB and PBB are hopeless on this.

Just came back from outstation yday night and opened up the supposingly PB VS envelope but to my utmost disappointment, PB actually sent me a visa platinum. Called their customer service and was told this is the maximum they can offer me. Cancelled the card immediately and told the CS off nicely for sending me a card which I did not applied for.

Is it possible for me to lodge a complain to BNM? I went thru their application form which I filled up and it was not stated anywhere that the bank can issue the next suitable card shall the applied card is not applied. Somemore send me sms said your card application is approved. Seriously just reject my application la, why in the world I need another useless platinum card

Personally, feel that not worth the hassle to lodge complain with BNM. They offer you another card and you have the right to decline.
You apply thru agent or bank directly?

Basically the stated "minimum requirement" just a general guide, like your annual income just hit rm100k with OT and bonus, risk of getting rejected are quite high. But if rm100k are your basic salary not including OT and bonus, then it will get approved.
Another way is, your EPF's amount, how much tax you paid in average for the past few years also comes in to play.
Till today I'm still trying to know is there any rules and regulations that every person applies a credit card and banks shall approve it without doing proper risk assessments

Definately not for a HNWI like u, u must have made a killing at the USD/MYR game.

I think this is not applying new credit card but to activate the auto payment from savings/current account to credit card payment. so definitely worth to get it~

PBB allows supp card to have separate statement/account which has its own rm50 CB.

No worries, I get the message .

My card usages will be like :
1) Max HLB Wise card for utilities/petrol
2) Use RM833 on PBB VS for dining/online/utilities
3) HLB essential for all others

around 3 weeks, my RM helped me to call few days before the application was approved, she said the card center still processing my application.

after few days then i got the sms saying my application was approved.

ambank WMC 1 week gaodim. i applied pbb and ambank card in same day.
