not really. for me for this campaign i spend like normal because 88/888 is only 10%, not exactly worth spending a lot one shot. unless you already know what to pay every month.

happened to me last time with cimb. didn't own a cc with them but received an SMS saying I purchased something at KLIA. found out later it's a fraud SMS randomly sent out to target at victims.

it was very silly of me because right after seeing the sms, i called the number on the sms. at the time i just woke up from sleep so i didn't think much. it was during the call that i realised something was not right because the operator could not speak english and could not pass to anyone who could, so i just hung up the call.

later on i called cimb CS and was told it was a fraud call and told me to ignore the sms. no police report was made. i was told the sms was randomly sent, the sender did not know whether you have the cc or not. out of 10 sms sent, if 5 of them have the bank cc, the likelihood of them scamming at least few ppl is there.
