how do you explain on bills?
*
if based on single tax invoice, then it is considered split transaction. what the above poster said also is true, ie. it is detected by the system so there is a chance that system may misses it. i cannot recall whether there is a successful case on bill payment previously.

However, I do recall that TNB under uobpayonline managed to qualify until someone called CS and asked about it.

My cukai tanah was pay with split transaction using uobpayonline.. N I got cashback for that..
*
yeah, there was a loophole with uobpayonline. I recall that my cukai tanah was not eligible even though it was a single transaction. this is after they found about TNB uobpayoinline.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Jun 6 2016, 06:07 PM)
meaning for same account can pay 8x RM60 with separate invoice even though not meeting the 30min criteria?

not talking about TNB. Can be Unifi, Maxis or Astro.
*
'how do you have same account with separate invoice?

for example, when astro issue the tax invoice, it is only a single item.

I dont really believe on the 30mins window thingy

Not sure as according to CS, it is based on tax invoice or bill, so I don't dare to make any confirmation.

I don't think you can pay chukai tanah (quit rent) using credit cards using payonline. Is it chukai pintu (assessment)?
*
Yes, it is cukai pintu

Below is the reply from Agoda CS, I don't think they entitled for 6% cash back, the problem is we won't know it until we made the booking.
Please be advised that all three bookings above are confirmed under our partner Booking.com whereby payment will be collected by the hotel directly and you will not receive a charge from agoda.com.

Therefore if you would like to request a receipt, you may ask for the receipt from the hotel directly.
*
Why are you asking Agoda.com on this? They wouldnt know or care.

I already gave the answer as per above.

Because when I use agoda.com Self Service by logging on to 'manage my bookings' to request "send me receipt", there are no such option in "manage my bookings" , therefore I've to request a receipt from Agoda.com by email. Then they told me ask for the receipt from the hotel directly.
*
This is for pay now or pay later option?

I use Pay now option, as I already knew Pay later option not entitle for CB.
*
There is a discussion about this few pages back. That case is when the hotel collects the payment and thus no CB. Someone also posted on a tip about detecting that is is collected by the hotel by checking whether they ask for your address or not.

QUOTE(ymtee988 @ Jun 15 2016, 10:36 AM)
In fact, the Hotel charge my PBVS (amount shown at Agoda + another 6% GST) about 1 hour after the booking made, I was notified this by sms.
*
Has it been posted?

Every Agoda booking also need to fill-out the address (the same information) , therefore I really can't tell the different between them, the tips given didn't work for me.

Yes, the transactions already been posted in my PBVS transaction history.
*
Just now you said Agoda reply will be collected by the hotel, then now you said already charged and posted? rclxub.gif which one is correct?

If already posted, then will get CB.

Sorry to confuse you, I mean Hotel has charged my PBVS after booking made, not Agoda.com. And these payment was posted in my PBVS transaction history after 3 days.

Agoda CS reply "payment will be collected by the hotel directly", at first I thought they only bill me after I check out, but i was wrong, they charge me in advance (1 hour after booking made).
*
I see. I will start to check the exact words in my sms/billed transaction. So far, all my booking get the CB.

Do update us on your final result, whether you get the CB or not. If it is so troublesome, I rather use other cards which give agoda discount directly.

First time use booking.com. I thought it will charge my pbvs on the spot and entitle for cb like agoda. But no otp. Hotel will charge me a day later or at check out? Is it entitle for cb?
*
Yup, most of the bookings made at booking.com will be charged by the hotel and it will reflect the current forex too. I avoid using booking.com nowadays.

Eh now I received email from booking.com say my card got rejected. I think it burst my supp card credit limit. They ask for another card# within 24hr.
So they charge 1day after my booking...not when I chk out.
Wonder what will happen if I dont give another cc#...
*
I got the same situation last time due. Card got rejected but definitely not due to CL. I provided a different CC as it was just for authorization.

Ooo, I see. Thanks for info. The hotel called me yesterday and gave me until today to make payment. I asked what if I didnt by today? She said reservation will be released. I asked got penalty? She said no. I told her will let it lapsed and released. I will book under Expedia with 10% cashback from shopback.
Anyone with Expedia hotel booking before? Pay on the spot online or pay after staying at hotel?
*
I recently made two bookings from expedia. Both charged to card during booking. City tax payable to hotel in cash.

Charged on booking? Great, can use pbvs to get 6% or Vox 5%.
What is city tax? I saw expedia prices inclusive gst and service charge already.
*
Some countries charge levy for hotel stay. Charged by the local council but collected by hotel. If you have ambank card, there is 10% discount.
