Yes, based on past experience on PBB campaign. So, don't use POSonline to count.

Frankly speaking, this is what the bank should do to be fair to all the cardmembers. If not, all the rebates would be finished grabbed within one day by those that do split transactions.

I call the cs just now. cs tell me that the system to track the split transition. if I pay online and the time frame between two transition for same merchant I more than half an hour, It would not track it as split transition. is that correct from the cs?

this is CS' explanation?

cuz the "split transaction" definition can be very broad.

1) same merchant, per day?
2) same merchant, per hour?
3) same merchant, per 30 mins? etc etc

if CS said >30 mins is not tracked as "split transaction", then that is the rule to follow (just in case).

Is depend how u argue with the bank if they really disqualified u, eg. if I pay maxis bill, i've 2 different account, so, how can u said I split payment? I must pay into 2 different account number.

how they know is different account? it only can show the merchant name and transition number in bank.

if I need to pay my phone bill is rm 300, I pay it 5 times, and I oso show digi transition five times and is it disqualified?

In fact, last round, I split my transaction for same account, but, I still get the cashback... but, with more n more stringent tnc, we can't assume the same to be apply all the while...
So, to play safe, either split transaction with different card or wait for 30 minutes time different. sweat.gif

Spend rm60x5=rm300 to get rm20, ~6.7% CB.
Spend rm60x8=rm480 to get rm50, ~10.4% CB.
If use PBB VS on online, dining, groceries get additional 6%.

agree with the t&c part, some grey zone is arguable.

I just follow my last round plan and see if i'm entitle, after all I still getting the 6%.

Using principal & supplementary card for same merchant & at same time is that considered split transaction & failed the CB criteria? Anyone tried before?

Split transaction means you purchase one item and pay for it in multiple swipes. If you purchase two items and pay for it one after another, it is fine as there is a separate receipt or tax invoice. At least, that is for the previous campaign.

if based on single tax invoice, then it is considered split transaction. what the above poster said also is true, ie. it is detected by the system so there is a chance that system may misses it. i cannot recall whether there is a successful case on bill payment previously.

However, I do recall that TNB under uobpayonline managed to qualify until someone called CS and asked about it.
