Dude, toshiba just come uout with new panel, Full HD to add to it. Its model is 42X3500E and 46X3500E. The 42" is just 7999. Why not you think about this model?

No. YOu need not go to that extreme. Just don;t put it very near to the wall, leave some gap for ventilation.

I saw a 32A53 on astro, and damn it's nice, at least it;s better than toshiba and other brands. I don;t get to see the 42" model, but I asked the salesman and he says the quality should be about the same, although I kinda doubt it a little bit. My opinion - go audition the tv and see which one you like.
