ok here goes ,  i just bought the samsung LA32R81B  for rm 3300, is that a good deal ?    anyway ,  i plug in my ps2 ,  why is the PQ so crappy ,  i feel its not up to standard.  is there anything im doing wrong ?  or is it like that ? maybe wrong cable ?  i just use the default yellow white red cable that comes with my ps2 , and plug it in my new lcd.  any setting that need to be adjusted? i try fiddling with the settings and all but still crap PQ.    any suggestion apart from campak lombong ?  hehe

24fps, 50fps, 60fps ... you caught me at hello!! you cares, if your display can do a proper 3-2 pull down. the framework is hyped because earlier HD DVD players do not support 24fps. the same for 1080p !  it was hyped to death by Sony, until Toshina released 2 1080p models and now all their 1080p models can do 24fps. so it will hype will die down slowly. the only source of 1080p 24fps contents are from HD DVD blu-ray. We will not see it on HD transmission smile.gif
*
that is my concern...why buying a 24fps HD transmission where current hdmi enabled dvd cannot support..coz m not going for full hd tv yet...

better off with a normal lcd i think...50hz is enough...

at the rate that BD and HD DVD is going in the US, there is a change that we wont even see BD and HD DVD. in 5ys time. So, if you want 1080p then go for it. but pay extra for 24fsp .. dun waste your money. you get to see smoother high speed actions of 1080p as compared to 1080i on a huge display. IF you are an action boi, get 1080p. 24fsp is GIANTLY over rated. What was the Sony PS3 MADDEN debacle vs XBox 360 again ?
*
i concur...1080i is enough...1080p if ur have lotsa disposable income to come by...

Yalor, suddenly drop to RM499 pulak. Initially was priced at RM999 when it was first launched. My advice for buying Sony products, don't be the first to pay, wait for the price to cool down first.  smile.gif
Well, don't notice any difference here for Sony NS78H except for the 1080p output. Sigh, marketing gimmick again. They could at least upgrade the Video DAC to 14-bit/216MHz like some higher end dvd players.

aisey bought mine at 569 with free hdmi cable thought is is a good deal...suddenly turun 499 pulak...

currently interested to buy new lcd tv, and need some opinions for these models:

- Sharp Aquos 32" A53M RM3600 instalment (RM3300 cash)
- Panasonic Viera 32" LX700MK RM4000 instalment (RM4200 cash)

i've viewed both in different local shops, but still cannot make up my mind.

my main usage is to watch dvd & avi/mpeg4 through pc hdmi and astro.
*
me contemplated with sharp aquos 100hz series but could not find any finer details as to the sony s310 series...but then again settled with the s310...my choice here if have extra cash is to get the aquos...

say it is an if...it is a chicken an egg situation...either u take the leap or not...then know later whether ur leap has gotten far enough or not...
