QUOTE(sunauto @ Apr 4 2007, 07:54 PM) That's definitely dynamic constrast ratio and even Sharp's 4ms refresh rate is measured grey to grey and not black to white. Some figures are misleading, the best is Toshiba, they only mentioned that their constrast ratio at 1200:1 and the latest W68 model at 1000:1, but dun be fooled by their figures, they're actually better looking than the rest of the pack. Dear Bros Bysquashy, Sunauto Comparatively speaking, can the Toshiba holds it ground against the Sharp. Am considering the 42 for either brand although the Samsung 40 R series look like an art. ALready got the Bravia S from Sony for my bedroom and looking for a 42 for my living room.

Guys,
For layman like me, PQ is important, but when you start talking 'bout 1080 then I'll try to ensure that my purchase is insured for the future so must include 1080, at least 2 HDMI input and whatnot. So LCD gurus, what is available out there in the range of RM7K with those features for a 42in set? Am seriously thinking of buying. Thanks

Bro,
Saw the new Samsung at 6999 for the 40in. How does this compare with the Sony Bravia 40" 300A at RM8200 with the HT dav750. Actually looking at the 42in Toshiba Regza or the Sony 46 which is a bit steep. Need feedback on these machines, pls, thinking of getting one for my den. Already got the 32 Bravia in my bedroom. Thank you

Was at Low Yat over the weekend and Desa offered me the Toshiba 42 3000a at 5399 just until that day. Wasn't sure then, is there anywhere I can get a better deal for a 42in LCD somewhere else. Philips and the chinese branded Haier are out of the question. Maybe Sharp.
