QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 2 2016, 05:28 PM) Refer to my post here for changing the DNS. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=80572326The RGX4400 is a really good free router. The only after effect is that you will no longer be protected from certain porn, gambling and politically (in)correct websites. hi soon wai, i want to ask whether i can change the DNS in Network and Sharing Center? https://developers.google.com/speed/public-...s/using#windowsfor IPV4 i already put 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 (auto detect since last time i used streamyx) but for IPV6 column still "obtain DNS server automatically". can i just put " 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844." in IPV6 column? sorry for my question cuz im not an IT expert.

Yes, you can. Just follow the above google document. When you select "Use the following DNS server addresses", the PC will use what you have entered and ignore the DNS from the router. You can do this for both ipv4 and ipv6 DNS. The reason I don't do it that way is because I've a fair number of devices. So I just set it once on the router and all my devices will obtain it automatically from the router.

Hi guys, Im using Unifi standard L7-N-R2000 dlink router. I tried port forwarding using the function "port forwarding" or "virtual server" under the advanced tab category but when i check the ports online using this site http://www.portchecktool.com , it says connection time out for the ports i forwarded. "Problem! I could not see your service on 124.13.254.22 on port (port number) Reason: Connection timed out." Did i miss a step?
