Yes it's true.. The RM2xxx model would give you a stepdown and 1 game of your choice. The RM18xx model would just have the Wii console, plus the free bundled game Wii Sports.

Well, the way I see it, the Wii is selling very well these days.. and to get stock now is very limited.. 1 shop holds 2 Wiis, sold within a day or two. So the demand is quite high, and retailers would usually ask you to price fight with another person.

So it's really up to you if you wanna secure a Wii now with such a high price. If you can be a little patient, you can wait for the optimum pricing which is RM950-1200.. which would make your wallet happier.

The problem is, as of now, even Americans are having problems with securing a Wii. I haven't been reading up these days, but that was the case during the first shipment(launch) of the Wii.. Totally sold out. I think the second shipments also sold out.. Retailers in the states are having this problem too.

So if them Americans or Japanese people can't get ahold of enough units, why should we? Besides, we are part of the reason they can't fulfil orders there.

Nintendo is already doing a good job in achieving their 1-2 weeks difference between different regions launch, Dec 19-20 US launch, Dec 2-10 Euro/Aussie/JP launch.. Man, are they tired.

And in all seriousness, if you can get bulk directly from US, great. If not, wait patiently, the fun isn't going nowhere
