I'm not sure this is the correct tread to ask, so I just post it here. My apology if it is not.

I'm wondering, is Maybank Krisflyer Amex still earning krisflyer miles for ewallet reload? Because I don't see it in their terms & conditions. I do know that Maybank doesn't give reward (Treatpoints and Cashback) for ewallet reload, but how about Krisflyer miles?

I have the same question  tongue.gif
*
nope, no miles for ewallet reload, confirmed with mbb cs

Yep sure. You can always apply for multiple cards in one shot.

Scenario 1:
Public Bank approved my VS and VI at the same time.

Scenario 2:
Affin Bank can approve your application straight away (either one or multiple) without submitting docs if you are holding infinite card from other banks, say CIMB VI or Ambank VI or RHB VI etc.

If you are holding higher tier cards, you can apply for lower tier cards without much issues since the CL are combined in most cases.
*
really? VI can terus fast track approval for other banks? never heard before this ..

Emirates hlb can get annual fee waiver?
*
i believe have to beg if you dont meet spending criteria, but usually even if u hit criteria (when u able to meet the bonus miles), they can waive, just that u might need to call

*

For him. Not us. And if he plays it right, there's some extra points as well every month end that he can redeem KFs.
*
yup, thanks for reading properly as to what i am writing

indeed, due to the limitation of the access to various cc's, i am restricted to choosing only the best that i can find

with 100k/pa salary not achieved yet at this moment, i doubt that there's alot of choice when it comes to KF

heck even SIA's own KF card isnt the best for earning KF for this income bracket

1,000KF (on LOCAL + GENERAL (RETAIL) / ONLINE spend ONLY); assuming annual fee not waivable regardless; below 100k / PA income

UOB (PRVI)
= 1,000 KF / 11,500 UM
= 1UM / 1RM
= RM11,500rm spend
AF = 198

HLBB (Sutera)
= 1000 KF
= N/A (did not locate KF, only EM/AA)
AF = 120

SC (SC WorldMiles World MasterCard)
= 1,000 KF / 2point = 1KF (as per mentioned in webbie, no access to redemption portal)
= 1point / RM3
= RM6,000 spend
AF = 600

Citibank (Rewards CC)
= 1,000 KF / 15,000 points
= 12point / RM1 (assuming max out at RM300 for tng every month)
= RM1,250 spend across 5 months
AF = 600

Maybank 2 Reserve AMEX (NO ACCESS)
= 1,000 KF / 5,000 TP
= 5TP / RM1
= RM1,000 spend
AF = 800

Maybank SIA KF Plat
= 1,000 KF / per RM2 (assuming online)
= 1KF / RM2
= RM2,000 spend
AF = 300

Maybank Grab + Grab ewallet
= 1,000KF / 10,000 grab points
= 6.5 GP / RM1 (assuming grabpay enabled merchants, if w/o, duitnow QR only = 5GP / RM1)
= RM1,538 spend
AF = 0

AmBank/AmBank Islamic Visa Signature Card
= 1,000KF / 15,000 points
= 1points / RM1 (visa signature)
= RM15,000 spend
AF = 0

RHB rewards card (based on 2020 catalogue, system down)
= 1,000 KF / 12,000 points
= 3points / RM1
= RM4,000 spend
AF = 200

CIMB visa signature
= 1,000 KF
= N/A (did not locate KF, only EM/AA)
AF = 0

*do correct me if the calculations are wrong / information inaccurate, i tried to find what i can on most readily available basis

perhaps others can enlighten me if there's any better ways than this, wanted to continue subbing genxyz for airmiles related guides but my need to keep low profile (deleted tracks of all socmed) so unable to fulfill all his requirements.

and pls dont tell me increase income, thats telling the obvious (if income high enough no need to "play" airmiles, just ball out buy tickets outright) and im working on it thank you

Good info. The Citi reward cc is definitely worth looking into as a compliment to the e-wallet top up category. RM1.25=1KF.
The AF can be easily waived right?
Ambank VI card 5x only for oversea which is around RM2.5=1KF

So the rank goes like this:
M2P>Citi Reward>MBB Grab>M2C>MBB SIA KF>Ambank VI for 1KF
RM1>RM1.25>RM1.54>RM1.6>RM2>RM2.5 for 1KF
*
some banks started to implement spending requirement waivers

though they still give, its getting harder nowadays.. so have to take that into acc,

overseas spend usually means its gonna be automatic cross off for me, cuz even if i get the card, work & spend in SG, the benefits wont be as good as SG cards

so if i can access (m2 reserve cant reach yet), then the rank would go as what u mentioned,

citi rewards (first 300 for tng/boost/big) > the rest is grab

Any SG card can beat M2P in terms of RM1 : 1KF? Aren't they mostly good in cash back?
I read it somewhere in the forum even foreign cards can't compete with M2P in terms of getting KF.
*
as below, a few actually can meet 4 miles / dollar if not better (with spending criteria like MY cards of course)

one such card is dbs vantage (with spending criteria as usual)

when considering staying long term in one particular country etc, would not have just 1 card to spend with

that said i personally do not think that M2R amex is easily beaten when it comes to TP earnings

QUOTE(knwong @ Jul 13 2022, 02:25 PM)
Even before COVID time, many cc in Singapore are able to offer 4 miles per dollar

Nice list, try look into M2C Gold
The Amex should be second best for KF
Yes, many Sg cards can get 4mpd (about RM1 : 1.3 KF)
We can use 1 set of M2P for (almost) EVERYTHING, but Sg need several cards for different categories.
Also most of the cards with 4mpd are capped, you can't buy S$100k stuff and expect earning 400k miles.
There are much much more air miles players in Sg than Msia.

Maybank 2 gold/plat AMEX
= 1,000 KF / 8,000 TP (based on their webbie, but i feel smth is off, should be higher but maybe its just me being skeptical on its inflation)
= 5TP / RM1 (weekdays only, weekend is 5% cashback)
= RM1,600 spend
AF = 0

somehow grab cc + grab ewallet is still the better choice here, for instant redemptions

that said, maybank 2 gold/plat weekday should stand out more if collect 1 year one shot redeem to krisflyer during treats fair if they have promo for it

personally im more keen to use grab at the moment, though it might change after grab started tightening the tap

before its last revision

maybank grab cc = 5x
grab platinum = 3x
10 grab point = 1 KF
10,000 grab point = 1,000 KF
rm1 = 0.8 KF
1 KF = rm1.25
1,000 KF = RM1250 spend

right before its last last revision
maybank grab cc = 5x
grab platinum + bonus = 9x
10,000 grab point = 1,000 KF
rm1 = ~1.4KF
1KF = rm0.715
1,000 KF = ~RM715 spend

it was pretty much unbeatable

not gonna mention the time when there was 30x.. its just sad to even be recalling that

Good analysis, but Grab CC only looks good in paper on earning. But in term of real life spending, feels like it will lose out to KF Plat card or other Plat card. Because you only can make transaction with GRAB payment. Is your lifestyle really 90% commit to GRAB payment?

Some more, you have no other extra benefits like lounge access or travel insurance or restaurant discount...
*
hmmmm i recently bought air tickets

i have to say, u really have to read the travel insurance fine print

for m2plat, which is covered by etiqa, the flight delay / luggage loss portion made me scratch my head

"This
benefit does not apply if the flight delay is in the Covered
Person’s Country of Residence."

so if i fly from malaysia means this is not applicable

in other words, it renders the insurance useless

=============

lounge access card essentially its for lounge access only

u can get sia plat, and keep it, use it when u fly or when the place u spend accepts amex but not grab

since sia plat is tied with maybank, ur spending can request to waive for the card AF (i bet its gonna come with conditions, but from personal experience not hard to achieve)

same goes for AEON big gold (spend 500 on grab, reload tng using grab) = done, for AF, swipe at parking lot every month = settle

HSBC, same, swipe in parking lot (visa sig need spend 1x every month consecutively for 12x month) = settle

the service tax rm25 i take it as subscribing fee for the banks cc, its per annum so i dont see too big of a deal there

If you want AEON gold for local lounges, Ambank Vi/WMC is a better choice. It has the same RM500 spend/entry, but there is no AF and it can access international lounges. One of the no AF card you can keep for life.
*
QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Jul 20 2022, 10:58 PM)
I think that forumer + me has not reached that level of income Ambank Vi/WMC. That's why we are not discussing about those.
*
as explained above, have yet to reach

that said, since its not urgent yet, would wait till there's good sign up promo should there be such offer

also, if no AF + no condition local lounge, RHB would be better.

As holder of M2P, definitely you are qualified to get Ambank Vi/WMC.
*
i think you got the "P" wrong, its not premier, its platinum

Ambank VI = 120k

QUOTE(francis226 @ Jul 21 2022, 10:35 AM)
Although RHB VI gives unlimited lounge access but it limits to first 1,000 customers only every month

cant get RHB VI, need 150k

visa sig and wmc, 80k, 5x PPL access

Has anyone travelled with MAS recently on their Enrich Saver redemption?

Wanna confirm some details, which I find odd while looking at the enrich redemption page

user posted image

How is this enrich saver gives you business class but removes the 'perks'

1. Check in counter doesn't check whether you savers or not what, just business in general to let you priority check in?

2. And they removed the seat selection which is complimentary during check in for non-paid / standards seats?
- makes little sense to me since its business + usually during check in you get to choose seats albeit limited ones

3. And for business class luggage usually they would also put business class tag on the luggage itself
- so they dun give the tag instead?

4. During boarding they announce 'business class except enrich savers'?
- wah like that its embarrassing for the enrich savers no? lol

5. No child discount - okay understandable

6. No lounge I can understand and agree its reasonable

I just booked one, two days ago and already booked a few times and used them already.

In short, no difference with normal business class. I can still book my preferred throne seat (subject to availability) and go to Golden Lounge. Just that Enrich Savers have no refund.

thanks for the input! appreciate it! i was just curious as to why they market it as the pics above

pretty confusing tbh

To make it less attractive so nobody will use lesser miles to redeem? laugh.gif You still get priority check-in and boarding and still go to the business class area in the airport to check-in. Baggage also will be tagged with priority tag.

I have booked Savers on SQ before and it is the same treatment with normal J class.
*
yeah i guess that is true

people would think that its better to get the basic one that comes with essentially the same perks

but more expensive in terms of points

QUOTE(charlesj @ Jan 24 2024, 03:25 PM)
Already like this since day 1 of enrich saver inception.
So far most people are able to enjoy full benefits of business class.
But heard a few complaints for being rejected for lounge access, especially overseas lounges.
Just accept it if being rejected.
*
okay got it, thanks for the confirmation too

yeah not forgetting to mention that apart from the uniform / catering change

we essentially not getting any proper value here with the inflation of more than 30%
