Anyone received email from enrich about the new award redemption starting 10th june?

Looks like no more distance based award redemption, going towards revenue based tier... And looks like no more fuel surcharge.

Yea. I looked at the pdf chart, it looks like a devaluation like sq, just that mh took away the 15% discount awhile ago and now they increased the miles in liew of YQ.

SQ going through changes for Star Alliance redemption... i believe now we can see *A carrier listing for FF redemption.

However, rates are going up for *A redemption... as usual.

They're also going to charge cash or points for call center transaction. Service fee will be waived for transactions that cannot be done online.

just redeemed 2 return business class tickets to europe on SQ. New A380 to Zurich and A350 from Munich back home.. got to say, SQ availability is quite good considering that my dates are not that far off.. Called the Singapore CS and got them to piece together the itinerary and confirmed the tickets within like 15 mins.. very efficient, compared to MH.

I realized that the trick is to get the tickets on mid week (Tuesday or Thursdays). Somehow, wednesday tickets are always on waitlist. total damage on tax was about RM 800 only while using 340k miles for 2 pax.

Highly recommend those who can credit to singapore airlines do so via SQ... MAS is ridiculous, one return flight to London (only destination to Europe) is almost 410k + taxes..

Also doing a stopover in changi on the way back. That's why call the CS to piece together all the segments under one ticket to get free stopover. If book online, can only do one way redemption hence have to pay for the stopover.

cannot do multi city award booking in system. either return ticket or one way only.

I've taken both 2017J and 2013J on SQ. Tried both front row and middle row seats on both flights.

Angled seats is kinda a letdown if you're more than 5ft 10 inch tall.. I'm almost 6ft and sleeping at an angle is a PITA... cannot move at all.

Trick is try to score the bulkhead/front row or bassinet seats during seat selection. I didn't have status with SQ thus have to keep checking the seatmap 72-48 hours before flight as SQ open up the front row & bulkhead seats to non PPS members.

With the full bench for bulkhead / bassinet seat, the J class is superb. Very wide for the 2013J. downside is if want to switch between full flat or seats, need to call FA to do it. 2017J is much better but width is smaller.
