Currently have Maybank 2 cards premier and Amex Plat Charge Card.

Looking to replace my Maybank 2 card premier since they have revised the Amex reserve points earning for local spend Dec onwards..

Use my card primarily for local retail spend / overseas spend during travels and buying of flight tickets / hotel booking etc etc

Keen to convert to CX Asiamiles / SQ Krisflyer / EK Skywards.

Based on these criteria, which other travel credits are highly recommended?

Thinking HLB Emirates World Elite / CIMB TWE / UOB elite privimiles / SCB journey.

What do you think?

CIMB TWE is the best among the bunch as it is running a promotion that gives 10x bonus points till the end of this year.

After that not sure which card is good, I am currently going for UOB PRVIMILES ELITE aka citi premiermiles.

HLB conversion isnt attractive compare Amex Plat, and you have to pay AF

CIMB TWE good for oversea spend. 10x points to accumulate AM & Skywards. If your annual spending can meet the requirement, AF can be waive

UOB Prvimiles Elite best for oversea spend to collect AM & KF. You can add UOB VI or World for local spend, depending your spending behavior.

SCB journey airmiles conversion rate not attractive too

Just slight change, TWE now is 10x for local and overseas spend, which is why it was so popular.

But its ending 31st Dec, not sure whats next.

10x oversea spend remain, changes apply to local spend only. that why i said its good for oversea spending. may refer t&c

UOB VI - 1.13/miles (overseas)
UOB PME - 0.90/miles (overseas)
UOB Lady - 1.50/miles (fashion - with limit)
RHB PVI - 1.00/miles (overseas)
RHB PVI - 2.67/miles (Hotel, Duty free, Dining, Online)

Ya, as in now still got local 10x. But once it's overseas only, i think there are a couple of others that would be as competitive.

have to look at the available airlines for each bank. Not all same.

CIMB TWE cannot convert miles to KF. This table is for KF only.

Just realized this, thanks for highlighting!

Actually if anyone have premier banking access and wanted an all rounder cards normal usage for KF.. HSBC Premier World Master Card seems not a bad choice.

If local spend half half between paywave and ewallet; we take 8+5/2 = as 6.5 points per rm1. Rm2.3 per miles

That is for lazy user like me who don’t want manage too many cards..

Correct me if I’m calculating it wrongly..

But overseas, just use UOB PME

is a good choice, but take note there is a points cap on each category. once exceed is 1x point
