hi guys, good evening,

im new to this, need guidance on KF earning.

1. if i book a flight with SQ star alliance airlines say bangkok air, will i earn KF? Or bangkok air's FFP's miles?

2. if yes, may i know how to go about it to earn KF?

tried to booking a flight but cant seem to find a column to fill in my KF membership no to earn KF. Instead, i signed up that airline's FFP and can earn their miles instead  sweat.gif

thank you so much smile.gif

just read from GenX blog at July post:
"As for Air Miles, the Maybank 2 Gold Cards AMEX, Maybank 2 Platinum Cards AMEX and Maybank 2 Cards Premier AMEX Reserve are the best!"
so can conclude maybank krisflyer card cant beat my current M2C platinum amex....
*
M2C Amex better than MBB SA KF Amex? You must be kidding me

Don't have the card, but from reading the t&c, it looks like once you activate the card and link your airasiaBig account, it will automatically be upgraded to platinum. If you have this status, you can go to premium flex/lie flat bed lane to check in. Your boarding pass will be stamped with priority boarding and luggages tagged for xpress.
Maybe I should apply this card .... Mmmm
*
what will happen to your platinum status if you cancel the card later?

OT a bit from the topic

Want to ask, for AirAsia group baggage drop, lets say there are 4 of us. If I have BIG platinum status, I can bring all their luggages and go to premium flex/lie flat bed lane to check in (assume I have enough baggage quota). My boarding pass will be stamped with priority boarding and all the luggages will be tagged for xpress. Correct?

But if I do web check-in for 4 of us already, can I still check-in my luggages for tagging for xpress when I arrive KLIA2?

But for priority boarding, only myself can enter the priority boarding zone. Another 3 have to wait at the normal zone. But I can choose to wait at the normal zone with them also, not compulsory to go to priority boarding zone. Correct?

thanks in advanced.

for airasia bigpoint redemption for family member, if I want to remove his/her name from my family list on January 2020, will AirAsia ask for any proof document for the removal?

thanks.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for sharing, but this is the first time KrisFlyer has ever sent me a EOY statement like the one below:

[attachmentid=11488297]

The bulk of the points (around 700,000 of them) came when I signed off my Porsche 911 GTS on my Maybank Diamante Card in July this year. I received double Maybank Treat points because it was an overseas purchase (both the Porsches were bought in Sydney), so when I converted, it was a serious bunch of KrisFlyer miles. Anyway, this is the first time I've accumulated more than a million KF points in the span of a year. I guess travelling from Singapore to Sydney on First/Business Class every other month also really racked up the points count!

The problem I'm facing is what am I going to do with these points. I've found that trying to redeem First Class tickets (eg. I'd buy a full price J Class, then use my points to upgrade to Suite/First Class) is almost next to impossible with SQ nowadays, with revenge travel still causing a huge backlog of wannabe wanderlusters. Thankfully, these points don't expire (since wife and I are both PPS card holders), so I guess I can keep kicking the can down the road until the travel bug simmers down...

But then, most airlines will pull another trick out of their dirty hat: and devalue the points!

Anyway, just thought I'd share a little bit of my joy with all of you. It's a happy problem to have, and I thank you for reading.

Happy New Year guys.

welcome to the club.

if you can afford to buy revenue J/F, don't bother to waste time monitoring for redemption. Your time is more valuable than this.

those KF can use to purchase items from KrisShop or book hotel, etc as alternative.

Thank you bro.

I've already redeemed 2 iPhone 15s at 30% KF miles discount during their recent promotion, but apparently, the best ยข/mile is to be had by way of seat class upgrades - I actually "lose" money when I redeem items from KrisShop, compared to when I redeem seat upgrades, or so frequent flyer miles gurus and sifus have told me...
*
you might "lose" more money if you convert your time used to monitor which flight available for redemption since your time worth a lot of money.

you may try out once to see if worth the effort and time or not.
