Got my component cable from Djinn today, thanks. Zelda looks so much better now.

Apparently with enough force, the strap will break. Of course, you could be holding your Wiimote when that happens.

Has anyone bought the classic pad yet? I'm not bothering with it until some of my favourite SNES games appear (that would be Mario World and... Mario World... )

Mario 64 with the GC pad is brilliant.

Can anyone connect to Virtual Console? I guess it's not possible while the internet cables continue to be repaired.

Hopefully not much longer until it's all better. I want Gunstar Heroes!

The classic controller is awesome. I've been using it on Sonic and it's much better than the Wiimote.

Just extra buttons. Labeled ZL and ZR. The only games that probably use them are N64 games. In Mario 64, one of them is assigned to crouch.

Believe it or not, the Rumble Pak technology is apparently why Nintendo didn't get sued. Apparently it works differently from Immersion's haptic technology, but also, Nintendo were clever enough to patent it (pre-Immersion). Clever Nintendo!

Also good job on patenting the d-pad design too.

Twilight Princess is much better, gameplay-wise, than Wind Waker. Too much sailing in the latter. Wind Waker is the more beautiful game though.

The Wii Shop is working again. Just downloaded Gunstar Heroes!

Has anyone been able to get onto the Wii Shop today? I haven't been able to log in over the past 3 days. I want me some Zelda!

It's strongly rumoured that Super Mario World will be released next week.

GBA? Man you make me feel old. I remember being so excited when I got my Super Famicom with this. Of course, in true Mario tradition, the first thing I did was mistime a jump into a koopa and die instantly.

Yep zoom in. Nice. The update also seemed to fix the Weather Channel for me (which had stopped working since the Internet Trial download). Not that I ever use it.

Now if only I could get into the Wii Shop.

I haven't been able to get into Wii Shop for the past 8 days. Having said that, my entire internet is quite slow. Did you log on the shop in the middle of the night around the time you posted?

EDIT: Well, I actually managed to get on after 7 or 8 attempts. Reconnected my internet a few times as well. Bought Zelda LTTP.

Apparently Mario Kart 64 is out today... don't really want to get that. No Mario World though.

The N64 games have save modes built into the original games.

Every other console, the game will suspend when you quit and continue from where you left off when you log back in. So if play Sonic The Hedgehog up to Level 3, you can quit, and play from Level 3 later.
