QUOTE(naziaf @ Mar 12 2007, 11:50 AM)
Hi guys,

Yesterday I went to Mid Valley for MAPEX and I saw the Wii being sold at RM1499 which includes the console, Wiimote, Nunchuck, and Wii Sports.

- Is it worth it?
- Will I get a better deal if I buy it in Australia or Singapore?
- If so, how different if I buy it from Australia or Singapore. I heard Singapore's Wii is using NTSC?

Any help is welcomed. Thanks!

Best you try getting it from a fellow forummer here, beat_boyz6.
Same price, but with an extra game if my memory serves me right.

WiiWare

This portion of the Wii Shop specializes on software specifically designed for Wii known as WiiWare (Wii Software in Europe). Currently, this section offers only the Internet Channel and the Everybody Votes Channel. The latter is free of charge, however as of July 1, 2007 the Internet Channel requires a fee of 500 Wii points. While actual "games" have also been planned to appear in this section since its inception, there had been no official word on when any would be appearing until June 27, 2007 when Nintendo made an official confirmation in a press release which confirmed the first titles would surface sometime in 2008. Curiously, the press release refers to the announcement as "the introduction of WiiWare" with "The first WiiWare content [launching] in early 2008", despite the fact that the first WiiWare content was actually introduced December 2006 with the trial release of the Internet Channel.

The WiiWare section is also being touted as a forum to provide developers with small budgets to release innovative, original, and smaller-scale games without the investment and risk of creating a title to be sold at retail. According to Nintendo the "remarkable motion controls will give birth to fresh takes on established genres, as well as original ideas that currently exist only in developers' minds". WiiWare titles are available in the Wii Shop Channel and, just like Virtual Console games, are purchased using Wii Points. Nintendo will handle all pricing options for the downloadable games.[5]

fuyo fuyo! Looks like XBL on the Wii!

QUOTE(LiteBulb @ Jul 29 2007, 04:38 PM)
Think you misunderstood my 2nd question. Let me rephrase it

The Wiimote in the box is factory programmed to be the first controller. I then bought another Wiimote and synced it as the 2nd one. I then turn off my Wii.

Upon the next startup, is it okay to use the 2nd Wiimote as player 1? I tried doing that just now in Wii sports and the light on the Wiimote showed one, but the pointer in Wii sports said p2 (while the other controller was 2 on the remote and 1 on the pointer)
*
Oh, yeah you can.

Just have to resync it again.
Or press the home button, and Wii configuration (something like that)

Then click the 1 and 2 button at the same time on which controller you wish to select as player 1.

Is that what you meant?

If your Wii sensor is positioned near a light source, that's the problem.

The Wii mote will go haywire, because there's light interfering with the data transmitting.

(fuyoh, I talk like a pro)

But if it's near a light source, that should be the problem
