I'm pretty sure the games runs fine. It's just that you're using a MODDED console to play these games and these games have taken measurements on how to combat piracy.
If you're looking for a solution, LYN is not the place as we prohibit discussion on piracy. [Added] On the other hand, if it's an original CD, and a non-modded console, you can only ask help from the person whom you bought these items from. Be it Djinn, Uncle Ho, or Nintendo themselves. on the subject of region lock and modded console, is there any mod that just allows to play all region? not interested in playing ahem games
also if got such a mod, can still play online? or would only be able to play online with games that match the original region of the console? or if got any mod then cannot play online at all or update the firmware? |

This is not a question, but I thought I might post this here anyway.
Today I bought a 18.5" Sharp Aquos LCD TV (720p/1080i res), third party component cable, and plugged my Wii in. Everything smooth at first. But then I switch to Progressive scan. Picture borked Just letting you guys know, test the compatible adapter with progressive cable before buying. I myself will be going to look for a better step-down transformer or ori 220v adapter for PAL Wii, once I have money. For now have to run in 480i mode This post has been edited by RAMChYLD: Nov 15 2008, 08:26 PM |

QUOTE hi guys , currently thinking of buying a wii , but problem is in my room there's no place to put a TV , so i'd like to play wii on my 19 inch Monitor . Is there a way to do that? Get a component to VGA converter. There are a lot of converters out there, so you need to shop around. Most common one take YPbPr input or PAL/NTSC input and convert it to 480p. High end one can convert and upscale until 1920x1200 and can also have a built in tuner. There's also the VDiGi Wii VGA cable, but I read that it's not really good (just take YPbPr input and transcribe to VGA RGB, and won't convert 480i to 480p, so you need to switch your Wii to progressive scan first beforehand, and even then some games cannot support progressive scan and you end up with blank screen unless your monitor can support 480i, and most monitors cannot support 480i). Plus, very hard to find in Malaysia. This post has been edited by RAMChYLD: Nov 16 2008, 08:52 PM |

Just got a wii and I face 2 problems...
First after changing a couple of disc.. it wont let me insert the disc anymore... I had to switch on the off the console first before it could let me insert another disc.... Second, ever since plugging in my Wii to my TV... The TV channel became blur..... Is this normal or what? |

Are you using an imitation ("compatible") adapter? Is your Wii modded?
My advice is to take it back to shop and ask, since it's still new. I have problems with an imitation adapter in the past, progressive scan causes glitching and even regular mode has interference in picture (now I managed to modify a NEMA to Europlug connector and use the 110v adapter with my stepdown). |
