Notice mine 65" 630x will have popping sound time to time regardless volume being turn on/off.

Also the tv will reboot by it self when turn on from time to time also

Anyone else experience the same thing?

do u mean popping sound from tv speakers or from the tv body?

it does make some creaking sounds sometimes - expansion/contraction of the plastic components, i believe.

tv reboot - it's the android rebooting... yes, it happens, whenever it detects some update (or error) with any of the apps incl sideloads.

Contemplating between Sharp LC60UA6800X (60") UHDR and LC65UE630X (65") UHD.

The smaller 60" screen is newer and comes with HDR while the larger 65" doesn't have the HDR.

The LC60UA6800X (60") is RM5,600 and the LC65UE630X (65") is RM6,000. I was wondering if the HDR makes a significant difference with 1080p material. Any thoughts?
The larger 65" will contribute more to the cinematic effect due to the larger screen so it's sort of preferable.

the HDR feature will not make a diff for non-HDR material.

but do consider 2-3 years later, u MAY want to have that feature! biggrin.gif

older model is android5/6, newer android7, i believe - android7 will live longer for sure.

unless u really can't accept 5" smaller, the newer model should be a better choice all round.

IMO, HDR significantly boosts a TV's contrast ratio and allows for much finer detail in the shades in between. It comes alongside another feature, wide color gamut (WCG), which lets a TV produce more colors than most current sets are capable of. Main TVs aren't changed so quickly so better to get latest tech in order to use the best features for longer. I'd definitely go with a HDR equipped TV. If you own or plan to own a PS4, it'll come in handy too.

Right, thanks. So it's the smaller 60" with the HDR for a boost in video quality and other host of additional features that may further enhance the colours making them brighter and more lifelike.

I'm not particularly interested in the built-in Android system but more toward video quality but I guess it's always better to get the latest, provided there are tangible improvements with the new model. Sometimes new models are just introduced to the market to boost sales although there aren't any real sort of improvements to talk about but I guess this HDR technology will bring some difference to the quality of movies that we watch on the big screen.

Guess I'll just forgo the slightly larger screen and consider the latest model. The lower price also helps make the decision easier.

Cheers guys.

bolded part... absolutely.

for that, u must not just read what people incl me say.

i have watched the ue6300x for 2 years, but have seen the ua6800x just once.

u gotta go see it for yrself.

better still, take a sample of your 1080p collection and play it on both tv's for yr eyes.

ALWAYS TRUST YOUR OWN EYES ONLY.

That's the best advise, only trust your eyes, not paper specs and jargons. Having many new specs does not equal to having the best picture, it is all about implementation.

That's normal regardless of res...Those black bars are due to the aspect ratio the TV show or movie was filmed in - seeing them means the title was filmed in an aspect ratio that isn't a perfect fit for your screen. It'll appear on some big, others smaller and rest full-screen image. So just relax and enjoy the content.

Due to discounted pricing, vouchers etc..I mean cheaper is good right... More and more are buying from online stores, especially if you already know the exact model to buy.. Some physical shops like SH also have online stores with Lazada..Whichever seller you choose, just be careful and buy preferably within your state to avoid potential delivery damage. With Lazada, sure you can return or refuse the delivery even...but then it becomes a time issue where you'll have to wait for a refund or suitable replacement.

Got mine couple years back from HM.. For big ticket items such as these, I prefer to deal with a physical shop and get extended warranty. So if any issues, I know exactly where to waltz and flip tables for speedy fix.

Notice when watching certain 4k contents (Music Video) on youtube [Youtube from tv], the video will get shrink vertically with lots of black bar at the bottom (at lease 50%)

Anyone experience the same thing? Any idea how to solve this?

Hi, new owner of UE630X here.

Am having a problem with the built-in Google Cast. Whenever I cast any videos (YouTube, FB, etc), more often than not, it shows a black screen but I can hear the audio. Happens like 1 in 2 times, and i have to try and play it a few times before I get it to work with both audio and video.

Any suggestions? I try to do a software update and it says there is no new update. Getting frustrated and feel like putting my Chromecast back on this TV. My Chromecast works perfectly.

Wider colour gamut does not equal to wide colour gamut, be careful with their marketing terms. It is a totally different meaning all together.

My LC-60UE630X keep rebooting. When turned on, the screen shows sharp logo. Then it loading for android. But half way loading it will reboot again. This situation continues endlessly in a loop. Anyone is facing the same issue? Any idea how to resolve it?
How to perform hard reset without going through home screen?
