I'm planning to liquid cool my system. I got two Titan Z. This pc is build for gpu rendering and the motherboard and processor is very old, GA-X58A-UD3R, i7 930. Only support 3 way SLI but i don't want to Sli them. My PSU is Thermaltake 1275w and i got one extra Cougar CMX 750w.

Anyone know where can i modify my Titan Z to have waterblock? The last time was Apes.my but now i don't know any alternative.

and i want to know the price for this and the whole liquid cooling system for the gpus on a new obsidian 900D. (Any better suggestion?)

I just brought two waterblock from performance-pcs, which were the last two stock, really rare: http://www.performance-pcs.com/bitspower-v...anel-clear.html

and they will arrive approx. in 1-3 days. DHL Express as stated from the site. (too quick?)

thank you!

I think the replacement of waterblock for GPU is quite straight forward.. If there's a manual inside the package, it will be easier for you.. try to browse the youtube for replacement tutorials..

Thank you for the response, I seen some but honestly not very confident, will do it if i got a guru with me...hahaha

I went to Lowyat last Sunday and luckily met Alex Wong from Topmaid Computer who got the experience to assist on building the rig. Felt less stress now.

And yesterday the waterblock got ship already and the DHL stated that the estimated time for it to arrive to me is in 6 days.

Today i did a cod with a guy from here for Intel i7-3960X, Rampage IV Extreme and Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB (2x8GB) 2400Mhz DDR3 at Taman Paramount LRT station...hahaha. It was an awesome deals!

My target time for the rig to be build is in 2 weeks but i hope it will be earlier.

Thanks for your time!

But i forget about the past and move forward didnt even ask him to pay me the money he own me i know its just waste of time.

Decide to do a Tri-Titan Z liquid system because i got yet another insane price for a Titan Z.
Topmaid can't do the build because their stuff are yet to arrive and luckily I went to Dota Tech and they can do the job

Still can't progress properly because each card use three slot bracket which add up to 9 and the casing(core x9) couldn't support it. I just ordered two 2-slot bracket from ebay and have to wait for another week until they arrive.

let me try to somehow swallow this

u bought a rVI and watercooled it. Even a overclock 2x8gb dual channel 2400 16gb...
and then two titan z and now want to add another. When corrected.
you stated because of you want to build a renderfarm..

LOL.

the sane thing is get a titan x.
there so much limitation in this rig that i really not gonna even go into this..

btw join overclock.net you will find similar enthusiast

I had been doing 3d rendering for 13 years, It is the cheapest and fastest way with the limited budget that i have spend.

dude ure budget aint small with all that wc gear.

the question here is .. i think if u went with a aircool route you could have ended up with a
5930k
X99
Two titan X
Phantek Evolv ATX.
4x4gb DDR4 2133 Rams.

just sayin..

The gpu core is what matters most in gpu rendering because if the vram exceeded you can just do passes.
You can't compare 2GPU titan X vs 6GPU titan Z. The ratio will be around 1:2.7.

This is my artwork if you don't believe what i'm doing: https://www.behance.net/dhameer

my bad
https://render.otoy.com/octanebench/results.php

6xTitan Z = 463 AVG score

2xTitan X = 251

i knew from folding i get about the same as my two titan blacks for a single overclocked tx.
so thought it would have been the same in octane.

learn a new thing.

still, a x99 platform with air cooling would seem like a better route overall

but of course if you're insistent on wc, then scaling it around your current decision would be required.

Of course X99 would be the better option but i brought these stuff 'progressively' and i have a very limited budget and some of the impulsive things like another titan Z is because i get some random good project and suddenly i can afford it. For the things that i'm doing, a single extra gpu can save weeks.

The liquid cooling decision is because every time i render heavy 3d file the temperature average in around 85 degrees celsius and i have to pause sometime to not make them over 90.
