Very often when we go and service in toyota sc they will sell is the injector cleaner. Many times i declined already. Does this thing actually work. From my understanding it doesnt really and we can do without.

Your fuel already have additives to clean fuel injectors and carbon deposits.

Don't waste your money.

Just did major service. I dun believe in feeling different after changing everything. But somehow after service, engine smoother and gear changes seem smoother as well. Placebo maybe? It feels light the engine.
Anyway I have my fair share of kena tipu by outside shops.
Once I had problem with alignment. 1st shop no matter what he did, still senget. Came to second shop with this spanking new machine, I think called Hunter eagle something. He test drove, looking at all 4 tires, then he said well I can assure you my machine can solve the problem, most of the machines in this town all old and not calibrated.
True enough the alignment was perfectly straight after he did it. super straight. Perfect setting.
However he charged RM75. I asked for receipt, he convinced me said , anything you come back , no need receipt one I will remember you. 2 ways to look at this, he solved an issue the other shop couldnt solve, but then some said RM75 is expensive

Not every1 is out to con you of your money. is your engine using direct injection? if yes, you should follow their recommendation. DI engines will benefit from usage of injector cleaner due to our low quality fuel, unless you're using EURO4M all these while.

Its a Vios. I read somewhere some shops selling these to make quick bucks in US. I myself is not an expert in this, that is why asking for opinion. I welcome any constructive comments as I myself do not know it is useful or not. I used twice before this given by Toyota before. Problem is I do not know when they give also. Sometimes they sell to you, sometimes not. It is like depending on stock. Because I always sit near the counter to see. 6 months back, they never give to any customers, today every single one.

if i am driving a vios, i won't bother adding this additive. i will just use RON95 petrol with known high detergency such as BHP, Caltex or Petronas etc. 1st 2 choices are my personal favorites.

Anyway every morning , going over bump during cold weather i have this squeeking noise from rear suspnsion. Told the service advisor maybe bushing or what or some rubbers fitting in suspension system. He laughed at me and said if suspension problem or bushing it is not related to cold or hot . He said because i did not wash my car? Huh. I said nvm just check la the suspensions. After billing , around 700 riniggit, he said okla all perfect. He said if u have the high pressure compressed air gun at home can use to clean car.
How do i check for the noise myself. It is very loud

No need.
As current fuel sold here, BHP, Caltex, Petronas, Petron and Shell do stated black n white in their website.

- their fuel do comes with detergent/ additive to clean/prevent any dirt/deposit/carbon in ur engine/fuel line etc.

- unless ur have extra money then it up to u. Do it give better cleaning of ur engine? Nope since additive in the fuel is adequate to clean n prevent deposit of carbon etc2.

Honda do charge round 180-200 for these services, injector cleaner things

my personal opinion is you should consider using this injector cleaner if your engine is using direct injection, for e.g. toyota engine with D4 or D4-S

If port injection engine, then shouldn't need anything extra; waste money.
