I wanted to get a new pc for office and i wanted to get a genuine window.
my question is since window now offer free upgrade to window 10, can i buy window 8/7 then free upgrade to window 10?
is there advantage if i buy window 10 first instead of upgrading. window 10 seem more expensive the window 8/7. Can i save some bucks?

Hi, yes you can. Buy windows 7 or 8.1, and do windows update after installation. You will get the get windows 10 icon on your notification, then you may proceed to upgrade. The advantage of buying windows 10 is you save time not having to perform an upgrade.

yes of course you can buy 8.1 and upgrade to 10 yourself. it only takes 2 to 3 hours of your time click click click here and there

yes of course you can buy 10 straight away - whats the diff?

you save 2 to 3 or 4 hours of click click click here and there to upgrade

so the question is you got money or you got time

if you got no time, just buy with w10 straight away and stay enjoyce ing your computer

if you got less money and lots of time - then it answer is given in line one

in any case, both OS is good - it does not mean that 81 is inferior to 10

I suggest you try both that's why its my advice to go 81 then play play play
click click click

and when ready, upgrade to 10 before time is up next year tutuping offer

I think you would like to mean OEM VS. Retail version of windows? Functionally they are the same. It is just that OEM windows is attach to the PC you activate it and cannot be move to another PC. For retail version, you can transfer the licence to other PC as long as it run on one PC at a time. good if you are building your own PC.

I think you hardly find windows 7 now, but still can try. Windows 8.1 will estimate around RM400 for home.

base on this article, you can activate windows 10 with the windows 7, 8 or 8.1 product key as well. so don't have to perform upgrade.

yes the seller is selling proper license but it is an OEM lic

in any case, it is legal and that's all you are worried about according to what I understranad

what you want is not to be caught (if ever) having a pirated OS, well the OEM product key and activation code you will get from the purchase will give you that and that's all that matters

the fish looks ok

can eat

There is a different actually (and it's happen to me). If you buy the old windows and upgrade to windows 10, your windows 10 runs without keys. When you having a problem and call microsoft tech support, they can't do much and ask you to reinstall the old windows, reactivate and upgrade back to windows 10. This is all because your windows 10 license are from the upgrade, hence a keyless license. Sometime the old key can't be activate anymore cause they already been upgraded to windows 10 ealier. This is what happen to me and I had to buy a new windows 10 with its key.

If let's say from the start you buy a proper windows 10 with a license key, tech support can help you like a normal day with less steps from your side.

If your company got the budget, go for a retail version instead of oem. Oem version license are tied with the machine motherboard where they been activated, so you can't transfer the windows license to another machine or upgrade/change to a new motherboard later on. Yes, sometimes microsoft tech support said they can help to re-activate the license when you change a damaged motherboard, but most of the time it is bullshit, you will have to buy a new windows key like what happen to me last time when I replace my broken motherboard (but i bought from a cheap seller, they ask to buy a full price license again, they can go to hell).

For first time upgrade, you need a Windows 8 or 7 to be installed. After that, you directly install Windows 10 by your Windows 10 media creation tool you have created.
