and 1 more thing, for those who subscribed the premiums, do u max out your dload speed frequently? is the speed consistent?

i read somewhere that if u dont use up the 25gb within 5 days, then the amount not used would b brought forward. Is this true? Coz i dont see it in the FAQ section.

can any1 confirm this?

We are sorry that you got the error message about the download limit.
On the
page where you have bought your account it is stated that there is a
traffic
limit (http://rapidshare.com/en/premium.html).

Unfortunately we are unable to change or suspend the traffic regulation
on
individual accounts and we can't reset your logs.

The traffic management is necessary to keep the prices we have right
now.

Please be aware that some download manager can cause more traffic than
the
actual file size.
The reason is that our system and the download managers do not match.

Downloading with a web browser will not cause any unnecessary traffic.

We check the download traffic on the last 5 days, counting from the
current
date, every time you try to start a download. The sum is stated in your
premium zone main page.
If the sum is less than 25 GB, you can start the download.
If the sum is more than 25 GB, it is not possible to download.
At 00:00 CET the last day will be deducted from the calculation and a
new
empty day will be added.
Therefore we do not credit you every day 5 GB.
We only check the traffic sum of the last 5 days.

Traffic calculation example:
Within 5 days you may download 25 GB. For example you may download day
by day
5 GB without any interruption. An alternative is that you download 15
GB
today, 10 GB tomorrow with a break following the next three days.

Traffic calculation detailed example:
day 0 -> no downloads
day 1 -> 10 GB downloaded (15 GB left to download)
day 2 -> 5 GB downloaded (10 GB left to download)
day 3 -> 10 GB downloaded (traffic limit reached)
day 4 -> traffic limit (sum from day 0 until day 4 is 25 GB)
day 5 -> traffic limit (sum from day 1 until day 5 is 25 GB)
day 6 -> 10 GB available for download (sum from day 2 to day 6 is 15
GB)

We are sorry but you can not accumulate your traffic.

With the button "Logs" in the premium zone you can see how much you
have
downloaded on each day and from what IP-address.

If there are IP-addresses listed that you do not know, please change
your
password (and maybe your e-mail address) in the premium zone using the
button
,,options" and make sure that your computer and email-address are
secure so nobody could access your RapidShare-account.

now i know why i usually have a large number of parts/rars corrupted. My connection is too fast, average around 1-1.5 megabyte per sec. The default disk cache in orbit downloader is 1 megabyte. Thus after increasing the cache to 10 megabytes I had zero corrupted rars out of downloaded 6 gigs.

corrupted bcoz the disk cache too small while the download speed too high

tried IDM for a while least nite. Can't adjust the cache size-very important for me.

open your RS premium login page. Select options. TICK the one that says Direct Download.

down or streamyx already block RS? Some ISPs r doing it u know....

its not streamyx, im in a college. However, its trrue that when most of my colleagues are not downloading anything especially in the 4-7am time, the speed would rise a bit.

the time is around 7pm when i got that speed.

my location? well if u look carefully at my sig, u can google on which part of the earth im at!

mantero never disappoints, so far have introduced and recommended him to few of my frens here where i live and together we can leech until those speeds

at home i have almost full speed on a 512k line, but my fren in Kajang is struggling with the same package at around 30+kB/s

my acc was cancelled too a few months ago. You need to email RS support with ur username to ask the exact cause of cancellation.

in my case, the problem is the seller sold me an account created from a hacked account. Then the seller said its the supplier fault and he promptly replaced with a new account.

im using Orbit and have encountered problem when my streamyx disconnected while downloading.

after restart modem, the download cant resume. All the while the cookie still exist in my browser, i didnt logoff yet.

solution : put in site of rapidshare, username, and password into Orbit's Site Manager. Plus make sure Direct Download is selected in ur RS account options.
