QUOTE(T231H @ Feb 12 2016, 10:12 PM) yes and no. I'm in my early 20s and yes the money I'm planning to put into UT is certainly surplus from my surplus savings. I'm looking at UT as an alternative to EPF regarding retirement savings because I am self employed and do not contribute to EPF. So certainly for the longer term 10-30 years. Looking hard at KGF...YES, if you got the risk appetite to absorb the volatility and invest with the money you are not going to use for some time NO, if you are easily be emotionally affected with the current volatility and does not have longer investment horizon. |

QUOTE(adele123 @ Feb 13 2016, 09:35 AM) current market condition is definitely on the volatile side. and yes, has been down alot. and also ringgit strength has been very volatile too. and sentiments are not the best right now. thanks!best time or not, i think no one can answer but keep your eyes open and start slow. but i actually do think best place is to start at home (KGF volatility of the ringgit couple with asian/europe/US market is i think weighing on some of the forummers here, myself included. |

have a question to ask: is it better to buy into a fund before or after dividend? i am looking at KGF and see that they normally declare dividends end of Feb. So am wondering to buy now or in March after dividends are declared.
