Report: EPF to continue investing locally to support Malaysia’s economy QUOTE KUALA LUMPUR (Jan14): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will continue investing internally this year in efforts to support Malaysia’s economy, according to a report by Bernama. In a report today, Bernama quoted EPF’s chief executive officer (CEO), Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan, saying that EPF is constantly investing throughout its time, and is looking at the right assets to invest in. He also said that the expected allocation for domestic investment this year will vary from time to time. So no need to worry?? |

QUOTE(adele123 @ Jan 14 2016, 07:16 PM) while CMF return now is quite high at 3.9%, it is way better than normal board rate. but for some conservative ones, locking in with FD which the interest is guaranteed than is more favourable. CMF always tracks average of FD (board and promotional ) ratesi like to point out also that CMF isn't always this high. it does vary, but based on my own experience thus far, i think on average should be around 3.6% or 3.7% for the past year which is still not bad. Btw, someone on i3investor have same avatar as u...or are u then same person? |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jan 15 2016, 12:38 AM) any views on Amcommodities? Is this a sinking ship, a gone case UT? If I were you, I will cut my losses and move on.I am stuck with it from day 1....... 2 years ago...........should i cut loss or buy more, i wonder... To draw an analogy. A patient is in a coma and is on life support system. He may or may not wake up in the future. The chances of him waking up is 5%. So would it be more humane to cut off the line support system now and let the patient die? But the final decision is yours. It is your hard earned money. Do you have confidence that the price of oil will rebound in the short run? This post has been edited by Vanguard 2015: Jan 15 2016, 10:06 AM |

QUOTE(brotan @ Jan 15 2016, 10:21 AM) must have read this... "In order to screen out funds that meet the criterion of consistency in performance, we compare the funds’ calendar year returns against the benchmark return of 7.0%, for the period from 2011 to 2015. The result showed that only the Kenanga Growth Fund and the Eastspring Investments Dana al-Ilham have successfully met the criterion. We have to award high commendation to the capabilities of these fund managers as they have consistently beaten our benchmark of 7.0%. Kenanga Growth Fund and Eastspring Investments Dana al-Ilham, which are also our recommended funds, stood head and shoulders over the rest, as these funds achieved 5-year annualized returns of 17.8% and 13.4% respectively, comfortably outperforming the benchmark by 7.0% on an annualized basis. http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...ds-in-2015-6702 |
