Those who want to go for China fund. H shares PE is at around 6. Can consider Manulife China Equity Fund.

H shares is at nearing its historical low PE.

A bit confused with A shares & H shares. Wanna ask...

According to Ponzi 2.0 fund fact sheet, 24.85% of the asset is invested in Hong Kong, and 5.22% in China.

So the China ones are all A shares? H shares are included in HK?

Previously before the liberalization, China is usually referring to H-shares while Hong Kong is purely HSI.

Now, it's rather confusing and it's up to the FM to make their own definition. LOL

The outlook for 2016 is pretty neutral based on the summary of today's seminar.

Bullish market like China and India also cautiously phrased with stocks selection rather than general broad market.

the various differences between the China A, B , and H shares, and red chips.

China A shares are shares of Chinese companies that are listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges which only local Chinese investors may invest in.

China B shares are shares on these markets in which previously only foreign investors may invest in. Now, with the relaxation of regulations, local investors may also invest in these shares.

Finally, there are also H shares which are Chinese companies listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, and

red chips, which are companies with Chinese links listed on the Hang Seng stock market in Hong Kong. Increasingly, the line is being blurred between H shares and red chips.

A quick note for the investors in FSM MY is that China funds on FSM MY platform invest mainly in the China H-Share market.

Guys, for Titan, if RM strengthen against USD then Titan fund will go up right?
*
hmm.gif looks likely when the RM strengthen....then Titan performance "may not" be so good...

......For 3Q 2015, funds within the top performing list were a mixed bag of equity funds that invest in various markets, with a considerable amount of the listed funds having exposure to developed nations. For some of these funds, the returns arising from the ringgit depreciation, against the currencies of these nations (see Chart 2), outweighed the decline of their holdings’ returns, resulting in these funds delivering positive returns for investors....

Yah, you're right. China Mobile (H shares) come under HK.
That means for Ponzi 2.0, A shares are down to 5.22%.

even if the results are very much positives.....will it last? do you have the stomach to hold on to it when it falls?....portfolio is best to have diversities...
Tip #3: DIVERSIFY, DIVERSIFY, DIVERSIFY

This is one tip or rule to bear in mind. By diversifying your money into different types of investments, you stand to reduce your portfolio risk as losses from some investments are offset by gains in others. In the long run, this strategy helps to increase your ability to take advantage of market gains.
