Samick is the world's largest OEM guitar manufacturer. Many brands are actually Samick but re-named as other brands.

Can anyone confirm if Doremi still sell Samicks though?

All the Greg Bennett series guitars already taken off the Samick site for a while, I wonder do Doremi still has any for sale.

Update:
I've been to Do Re Mi Subang Jaya branch, and been told that they only sell GD50 and has been sold out. There are only 2 model that suits my budget, that is Washburn WD7S and the pre amp version WD7SCE. May I ask, is Washburn a good brand? Does their guitar are with good quality? Thanks.

My budget is like around RM700? That is like selling at below RM500 right? Btw my criteria is prefer solid top guitar, and I also found another one, which is Veelah V1-D, a Canada brand? The appearance was nicer than Washburn WD7S in my personal view, and the material I think is the same but was priced 279SGD (Around RM830)... And the WD7S was priced RM615 and WD7SCE RM735.

I recently got myself a Taylor 614CE from Swee Lee. It is cheaper than in Malaysia. Bentley is selling the same guitar for RM14,300 while i got mine from Swee Lee at RM12,138. I went to the Changi to get GST refund of RM669. Even with the weakening ringgit, Malaysia is still more expensive than Singapore. rclxub.gif

It doesn't really matter. If you can play well, the brand doesn't really matter THAT much.
