One more thing.
Can this free 64kbps mobile Internet of IDD Internet Club be used for other than social media apps like Whatsapp or Wechat? Like Waze or UBER? |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jan 2 2016, 08:43 PM) You can use it for anything but it will be incredibly slow. Loading Google.com takes about 2 mins though searches come up quite quickly after that, sans images. Uber might be usable. Waze no, Waze chokes even on EDGE. I use Waze a lot.I don't think I should subscribe to the IDD Internet Club for the free 64kbps speed. I'll go for PAYU at 5sen/MB. |

I subscribed to IDD Internet Club this morning, based on the review below that Waze is usable on a 64kbps mobile data connection.
Funny, they didn't deduct the one-time subscription fee of RM10 from my credit balance. The validity of the IDDIC is up to 22/1/2026 (ten years) as shown on MyDigi account. When I do an Ookla Speedtest, it still shows 18Mbps download and 4Mbps upload. My smartphone has an LTE signal with full-bar. Yes, I tested out Waze, and found that it is indeed usable (within KL). Never missed a turn. I can also do Maybank2U, MyTeksi and UBER, all no problema at all. Whatsapp messaging and push notifications are near instantaneous. Whatsapp defaulted to not load videos on mobile data connections, which is fine. It is better than I expected. And all these capabilities on my smartphone for free. ![]() http://www.lowyat.net/2013/14007/living-on...k-prepaid-plan/ |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jan 28 2016, 01:44 PM) Yeah, it's pretty good isn't it. Same for me that the RM10 wasn't deducted from my credit. Mine is also valid for 10yrs. With the IDD Internet Club subscription, I can do GPS navigation, online banking transactions, hail a cab and Whatsapp, for free.I think it's great. My daughter loves it. She has everything she needs. And I don't have to worry about reloading every month. That is more than 80% of the things I do on a smartphone. What more do I want? |

Just found out that web surfing using Opera Mini is very usable too. That is more than 80% of the things I do on a smartphone. What more do I want? The 64kbps IDD Internet Club is a great mobile data investment. |

QUOTE(wallacetan @ Feb 4 2016, 02:16 PM) Alright, I have read everything and now want to ask about digi Yes, you are absolutely right on all three, except for unknown reasons, they didn't impose the one-time RM10 charge for joining the IDD Internet Club. Is digi NEW BEST V1 Prepaid same as digi best prepaid? want to port from umobile to digi now if they are the same, thus i can enjoy the following things: 1.super long life when for rm38 2.idd internet club 12gb per year 64kbps for rm10 3. free internet 1.5gb when top up RM30 for 1 month am i right about this? |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Feb 4 2016, 05:55 PM) bro, have you tried "3. free internet 1.5gb when top up RM30 for 1 month"? What happens with the validity of the data since we have SLL? Does the data follow its own separate validity period of 30 days? The free 1.5GB Internet given upon top up of RM30 follows its own 30-day validity period, separate from the SLL validity period. The entitlement, however, is not automatic. You need to manually redeem the free 1.5GB Internet using USSD code *888*1# within 3 days after topping up. |

soonwai, I have reconfirmed with Digi Helpline that the 1.5GB Free Internet that comes with 30-day validity upon a RM30 reload is applicable to IDDIC subscribers as well.
Just do a *888*1# after the reload. |

QUOTE(mitodna @ Feb 8 2016, 04:09 PM) For Digi IDD Internet Club, do you still have a max cap rm3 daily plan? I still have it, I fear it still charge PAYU No worries there. Thanks If you exceed the free IDDIC quota of 1GB per month, only then will it fallback to PAYU at 5sen per MB (up to max of RM3 per day). |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Feb 11 2016, 01:52 AM) At first I thought only 10 also but I MNP on 31 Dec, active on Jan 1 2016, I still have 10 + 10 on MyDigi website. I've successfully added numbers to both digi and non-digi. Currently I have 3 Digi numbers and it says 7/10 slots available. 4 non-Digi numbers and 6/10 available. Let's see what happens when my total of both reaches 10. I already occupied 12 slots.5 Friends and Family, 7 non-Digi. Still have 8 slots available in total. |

QUOTE(svchia78 @ May 11 2024, 01:41 PM) Hotlink Prepaid 1.0 then buy Perpaduan pass for RM30 - comes with 30GB (3Mbps) for 180 days validity of line and data. Calls asing kira RM0.30/min. If I am not mistaken, Digi Prepaid free monthly 500MB basic internet operates at 64 Kbps. Extremely slow.Digi SLL (when it is offered) - "usual" is RM54 for 365 days and basic internet 500MB/ month (much slower than 3Mbps). Calls also asing kira RM0.30/min. |
