Before embarking on any MBA, like our sifu Cybermaster said, the purpose of doing the MBA is important.
However, what is also important is the ROI and what is your expected pay back period.
When the Ivy League MBAs were first offered in SG, there are stories about many people who jumped to join the bandwagon but did not have a clear plan what to do after the MBA.
Hence as a result, many of them did not manage to recover the cost of doing their MBA.
Many were hoping to join top tier firms but lets put in this way, if you're just an average employee (like most of us, including me), just because you have a MBA from such Ivy League firms, it does not mean that Goldman Sachs is going to hire you.
Having the right game plan, life and job skills are more important and the MBA is just suppose to supplement all this and enhance your opportunities.
Having a Ivy League MBA is not going to totally transform your life if you don't work hard and smart after that.
