QUOTE(OxDoC @ Aug 31 2015, 08:13 PM) Wow COOL ! imagine ur coursemate is a CEO, and u can jokingly ask him hire u as a Manager !! Hi OxDoc, After reading your comment, it reminded me for those were the few main reasons I signed up for Strathclyde MBA. I'm in my third semester now and working assignment with my course-mate had brought me to different perception from my initial intention. Having the privilege to work with business owner and high level ranking executive with industry background had me gained different learning experience and changed my point of view. The Strathclyde MBA course complement these learning experience more effectively as their local council are top high rank corporate people that guide us in the course that willing to share how the real world ticks (domestic and global) I have no regret for joining Strathclyde MBA and its totally worth it for paying the extra.

QUOTE(YH90 @ Sep 1 2015, 10:04 PM) EMBA is generally an part time MBA course (i.e. only weekend classes probably every fortnightly) for existing working professionals while the MBA is practically a full time course which has classes during the weekday. The main difference is the length and target audience. And practically you are expecting to meet a CEO and jokingly ask him to hire you as a manager, I don't think you are suited for the MBA course as well since you and the CEO are supposed to be equals and should be learning from one another instead of you leeching off from someone else. Having high rank officers working in a same assignment group really brings different learning experience. Expose to different teamwork dynamics as multiple industries background sitting in discussion room, throwing idea and pitching thought to buy others to sync into the same tune. I'm not all against the thought of leaving job opportunity aside for while in the course. But takes this opportunity also to network and grow them for better future prospect. The higher rank your network, the better chance to be up there. I seen many cases that job opportunities were given during the group discussion and even after local council session.
