If you want an affordable MBA within your means, you can go to UM if you are staying in KL.
At least Universiti of Malaya has a higher QS ranking compared to some of the MBAs offered by private colleges collaborating with their partner universities.
UM ranks better compared to University of Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt University, University of Wollongong (INTI), University of Sunderland (Segi), York St John University (Segi), Victoria University (Sunway). Some might think it's good just because they see a foreign name.
If you are willing to invest more on MBA, then go to the top schools as suggested by Alaskanbunny.
If you are looking for flexibility, then no choice but to look at the Open Universities
Be careful when you make such comparison. At least Universiti of Malaya has a higher QS ranking compared to some of the MBAs offered by private colleges collaborating with their partner universities.

I would have to say that ranking is very subjective, depending on which body and how they assess it. For example, QS ranking is different from FT ranking.
It's always better to look at the quality of the programme itself, rather than just the ranking. When you talk about quality, check the accreditation bodies attached to the programme.
University of Strathclyde is the only one out of 2 in Malaysia that has triple accreditation (AMBA, EQUIS & AACSB) with tip-top teaching quality. They're definitely ranked higher than UM (which only has accreditation from AMBA).
Cheers!
