Hi people, I'm still SPM student.

My aim is MBA.

Can anyone of you give some comments to teach me how to walk until MBA?

What should I do after SPM? the best?
*
If you want to walk, then take SPM -> Form 6 -> College/Uni (Degree) -> Uni (MBA)
If you want to run, then use money to accelerate.. SPM -> College/Uni (Degree) -> Uni (MBA)

guys,

I currently have 3 years working experience under my belt in IT, technical position.. I am dealing with more people and there are a lot fo more human interaction n meetings and project management elements getting into my line of work.. I'm enjoying it but at times I'm really banging my way here and there when it comes to group management co's I don't really get much practice of this when I was shooting for my degree. I am thinking to pursue MBA to work on group management and team playing skills, as well as shifting my mindset and point of view from a closed minded, "accept as it is" vertical thinking to a broader, more lateral thinking ..

For those who are taking MBA currently, would it help me achieve what I want? On the other hand, what prompted you guys to go for MBA, and so far how do you find it .. as in does it really help get you closer to your goal?

Just a thought though that MBA may help in employability on the paper, but I guess when one pursues MBA one should focus on building personal skills and use that as the ultimate leverage to make oneself more marketable instead of the extra qualifications on the CV .. my 2 cents smile.gif

I had considered to take WOU and did some research. Fees now is nearly 18k.
There are only 2 semesters in 1 year, if you takes 3 modules/ sem, then it takes 2.5 years to grad.
Most students take 2 modules/ sem, the advisor even suggested to take 1 module for the 1st sem to see if you can cope with distance learning.

Reason i choose not to take distance learning is --
I have seen how students interact with others (student, lecturer, course coordinator) through the web portal, it really takes a lot of time to get the info you want. It could take a few days to get a reply for an assignment.

Local Uni, UPM should be better, even the tutor/ lecturer from MMU studied MBA at UPM.
The fees for UPM MBA is nearly 21k (include text book, and refreshment smile.gif ).
Lecturers wise, some really lead you to higher level management thinking, some not so good (come to class 15 min late, break time 30 min, then dismiss 30 min earlier; or just joke around).
Normally you'll get a lot of tips for final exam.

Wales Newport is an unknown uni and only have 9 modules..others MBA is 12 to 14 modules minimum...
Balarat is costly..and previous post some ppl said it is not famous....

Wales Newport same like other UK MBA, need to do Dissertation. Attend class once a week only during the weekend.
Fees is about 23k ?
It is very new, no student has started the dissertation, even the staff at Unity not sure how the dissertation will be accessed by Wales Newport.

Ballarat is weekday evening class, tuition and admin fees in 17k. The expensive one is exam fees, AUD400 per module, and there is a total of 12 modules. Current exchange rate 2.5, then it is about RM1k per module.

Segi USQ is more expensive, about 38k. Weekend class. More major options compare to Ballarat.
There are students from China, and negro in Ballarat. In general their standard is slightly lower than local student.

Recently gov give funding of 50 million to UKM and UPM business faculty...
so if u think of MBA for public uni, UPM and UKM should not b too bad a choice...
but weekday class really a drawback...
economy so bad..still want go back early for part time course..not all bosses so kind...

Guys, need some advices from you. First, I would like to take an MBA course. And my purpose to take MBA course is to "build networking with higher level management ppl" and learn precious experiences from them. This is the main objective. So tell me which Uni or Coll's MBA course have the most "President, VP, MD, xxx Director, GM,Senior Manager" of company to study in? To me, the interaction between experienced and carry weight coursemate is the most important compare to whatever No 1 rank listing in MBA Unis. As i am no plan to work oversea.

Heard that MMU PhD of Business Admin does have a lot CEO/ MD/ Senior Management.
In general i think the more expensive the course the higher chance to meet top management people.
