Besides, MBS and University of Nottingham, which is the next best MBA in Malaysia?
How about best value (money and quality).
I just wonder how can u guarantee the quality of local college MBA is as good as the oversea partner? Accredicted yrly will do that?

@chgchksg128,
I suppose there'll be on and off checks as well as spot checks from the principle to keep the local partners here on their toes. I don't see any other way quality can be guaranteed; not even if they brought in foreign lecturers because administration is important too.

U could possibly check out University of Strathclyde. It's conducted through CDC Management Institute, Malaysia

To me value can only mean ROI. If I go to a local MBA program I'd definitely choose one with good career services so that I can get a good paying job to pay off that MBA. I guess I'll have to do more research first on that one.

@tishaban,
Yes I agree with U. Y spend $ on an MBA when it's not going to give u the returns, or well, when the returns are onli gonna come back when U retire *grins*

@gooni3,
The more the merrier!

<psst: tishaban, haf U checked if gooni3's eligible?> laugh.gif

@chgchksg128,
I'm quite surprised no one's responding to their emails but when it comes to something like that, U should perhaps pick up the phone and call smile.gif At least U got some other forumer to do it and he was kind enough to provide u with the details smile.gif

The one and only time I called, a v rude lady picked up the phone. Before she would answer any of my question, she made it a point to make sure I didn't find the course fees too much [it was about RM43k then] - hate that kinda attitude! tongue.gif

Anyhow they 'verbally' rejected my application as I was too young then

I would said, for MBS, University of nottingham and university of stracthlyde is too costly even it is as we think more quality assured.

OK, let us check which one is the next best MBA which is not over RM 30k but yet is best value (quality and money)?
Honestly, those MBA which is advertised in papers is not famous at all and i doubt they are roaster University

@chgchksg128,
Roaster University? What's that?! I can barely comprehend U.

U perhaps could list down the different programs and their course fees here and we'll help U see which is 'best value' though that's seriously not an easy thing to gauge.

@gooni3,
I don't understand where Ur coming from. I'm not interested in going to UK to work - I gave up the opportunity for Australian PR. Life is in currently in MY and so is the bulk of the family. I might consider US though for 'strategic reasons' tongue.gif

Also, I'm not looking for an MBA, perhaps a DBA.

@gooni3,
Truthfully, it's just for the paper [and well, perhaps cause I'm just burning out from the rat race *grins*]. If it's for research purposes, it'll be PHD not DBA biggrin.gif

hm but what can u do wor DBA.. i thought they hardly hire MBA without experience but then for a DBA u must be having like some kind of 10 years quality experience then?

out of the rat race.. i'm assuming more money?
but what if let say person A and B
A has a DBA
B has an MBA

so.. if both of them were holding the same position doing exactly the same things giving equal contributions.. will the one with DBA get paid more? or the same since their performance are equal?
