@mrdude,
Your local lecturer whether or not he is part time or full time should NOT be allowed to teach his OWN syllabus; he will be given a set of the syllabus from the Uni and certain guidelines to follow.

As much as he might not know what is going to come out for the exam, he should be able to advise U on what the important topics are.

@mrdude,
If the facilitator is not going following the syllabus, U should complain directly to the school; if the school doesn't listen and speak with him or replace him, U can alwiz escalate it to the Uni.

If U don't like my comments just ignore whatever I said; U are afterall the one who's doing the MBA not me!

@mrdude,
I'm not telling U what to do; it was merely a statement/comment I made. If U want to ventilate ur frustrations let us know earlier [put a remark or something so we I know to ignore it!]

I'm not the MBA student here nor am I the one looking to pursue an MBA so perhaps I've no business to even be here.

@arsenal,
I ain't fighting nor was I even intending to; for some reason, some people just decided to pick on me and I certainly don't appreciate that!

Don't U think the personal attack was uncalled for and immature? Esp since it's coming from someone who's somewhat educated. And, borrowing this line from another forumer,

QUOTE
"When you feel that you've stepped to far into the seriousness of the forum, it is time to step back. Life's too much of a good thing to let your blood pressure rise up because of a few sentences or lines of words from the people you hardly know"

@mrdude,
How was it that I started this whole personal attack thing?! Perhaps what was not right was the 'muhAHahHAhaHAHahAHhaHA' but that was NOT done to poke fun at U! And for the record, I didn't snicker at ur comments. In fact, I had no grudges until u started attacking me in Post #743!

If U want to think I was nasty and purposely chose U to pick on, be my guest.

QUOTE
Tinkerbell - This is a typical way of bullying. You can't win on your own, so you try to rope in as many people as you can to win. Sad.

WTH was that all about?! U might as well blame me for all the bad karma that's around U... good Gracious!

And it's tinkerbel NOT tinkerbell, mrdude!

@chgchksg128,
I believe we did discuss the difference between UPM & UM previously. I haven't done much 'research' or know anyone who did / is doing the UTM MBA hence no POV.

@Babablacksheep,
Brutal?! LoL - Yeah tell that to the one who started it all.

@chgchksg128,
There could be many reasons; pay might be one of it - perhaps he wasn't willing to accept the job because of the pay; another could be that he just couldn't find a job he wanted; or perhaps the organisations he aimed to get in didn't want him? *shrugs*

If planning to take an MBA here in KL, I would suggest to do it p/time - most or perhaps none of them haf good enough career planning divisions to open paths to their full time students unlike the more 'reputable' ones; U rarely hear about MBA graduates from the Top Schools being unemployed.

Also, Japan education is not as prestigious as what it used to be.

The only reason I prolonged it was to teach Tinkerbell a lesson - it is not nice to laugh at and make fun of a person's reasonable statement. Just giving her a taste of her own medicine.

I've had enough of ur nonsense. I ignored the previous comments and statements but U just don't know where to draw the line!

Also, are U saying only MBA pursuers/graduates are welcomed at this discussion?!

TOts,
Kellogs, Northwestern also offers an 'accelerated' full-time MBA - but there are pre-requisites. It is not meant for fresh graduates biggrin.gif

I hope this information isn't too late but our local MBS MBA is offering a discount for the first 2 semesters. I think it's 30% discount if I ain't mistaken. That brings total fees to about RM84k for the duration of the course.

Get more information from them if you're interested. I sudah deleted the email they sent to me *oops*

@colins,
If U have sufficient work experience, U don't need to worry about what's stated. These days (at least I noticed!) most local colleges offering MBAs don't care if U really make the mark because it's really the numbers game.

Of course, if U fail the mark by a LOT that's different altogether smile.gif

@felix83,
I haven't been in the market for MBAs but based on the 2 options U stated, I'll go for the Nottingham Uni one biggrin.gif

Yes you're right - this thread has somewhat become an online sales thread *hmmm*

@colins,
Numbers game here meaning, the colleges has a specific target to hit for every enrolment. Most are profit oriented/driven hence if U miss the mark by a little you still probably get in biggrin.gif

@vcsy2000,
It's going to be difficult to check how good the lecturers are at both colleges unless U know someone there. However, U could always go through their course syllabus to check if U like the structure.

Don't compare in terms of total class hours as it doesn't mean that the more class hours there are the better the course is.

@b.red12,
Yes you're absolutely right. Also, if you intend to sign up for the next intake, there's a bursary of 25% for the 1st 2 semesters. With that, you'll still need roughly RM80k to complete the entire course biggrin.gif

@khchong81,
I don't believe there's a Masters of Advertising in MY but the closest available one would be the UniSA Masters in (I'm not even sure what it's called again!) that's affiliated with KDU.

Go check it out.

@khchong81,
Er.. why is that so?! Like I said, go check out the one being offered by KDU affiliated with UniSA. That's a pretty program. I looked into it when they first launched but didn't take it up because I felt I 'over' qualified *muAHahH how modest of me* LOL

@cheejiun,
MSU stands for?!

Also, for those who's interested to find out more about the MBS MBA (Manchester Business School), there's a lunch preview taking place. Unfortunately I seem to have deleted the email but am sure the information is available on their website so U might want to check that out smile.gif
