Hot, talented and famous tattoo artist Kinki Ryusaki (pic) is in town and ready to “ink” it.
Kinki, who has been involved in tattoo art for more than 10 years, is holding a booth at the 1Borneo Hypermall in conjunction with the Kinabalu Tattoo Convention until Dec 13.
The petite artist, who has tattoos all over her body, is attracting scores of visitors, not particularly to get body art but to meet and take selfies with her.
“I want to share with people in Sabah what I have to offer as a tattoo artist. I’ll do my best and give my fans and customers what they want on their bodies,” she said.
Kinki, who has blogs and numerous images and information sites dedicated to her, said she fell in love with body art at the age of 16 and decided to learn about more about it.
“Since then, I never looked back and will continue to do what I love best, tattooing,” said the Kuala Lumpur-born artist whose real name is Wong Wei Yin.
Many foreigners come to Malaysia just to get tattooed by her since she does all kinds of body art. Her waiting list can be several months long.
She is currently coming out with her own trademark.
Visitor Yvonne Chong said she had been following Kinki’s social network pages such as Facebook and Instagram, which have almost a million followers, over the past few years.
“I found out about Kinki through some friends and the fact that she’s super cute and talented makes me want to get a tattoo,” she said.
Chong went to the convention just to take a picture with Kinki and also get a new tattoo from her.
