Statement balance amount, the one without cash rebate. Other banks allow you to deduct the cash back before payment but it seems CIMB doesn't allow and will impose penalty to cardholders. There were a few forummers shared abouf this earlier.

Just want to share... i've been paying my statement amount, nett of cashback for the past few statements and it is fine...

I wasn't charged any interest.

i know. what i'm trying to highlight is booking via airasiago and via airasia.

note that via airasiago one can book hotel/flights/hotel + flights.

i received 5% when i booked a hotel via airasiago.

so, there's a chance i can get the rebate when i book flights/flights + hotel

OK thanks.

Anyone knows if we must pay exactly as per statement or we can pay statement amount (balance @28th) minus rebate we received on 29th (outstanding balance @29th).

Will CIMB charge interest if we pay outstanding without paying statement amount?
*
I pay statement balance minus cash rebate amount. Didn't get charged interest. Have been doing this for many months

it's OK now.

So... for the past many months i've been paying outstanding balance (i.e. AFTER the cash rebate). However for the month of January, i've been charged finance charges for not paying the full statement balance.

mad.gif

Oh well, other forummers beware... stick to paying statement balance shakehead.gif

It's called calling it something that sounds logical to charge your cardholders more money. So far CIMB is the only local bank charging this fee.
*
I haven't tried other local banks cc except maybank which doesn't charge this yet.

to be fair i think the cost is chargeable to the banks. the banks is just passing the cost to consumers. i don't think they actually just take the charges for themselves. one can google i suppose.

but when citibank imposed this, at least they clearly tell you they will be charging this, and also on how they will be charging. citibank actually charges 0.848% biggrin.gif

Hi to those who received their pin and pay card. is it that the card they will courier or snail mail to you?

cause my mailing address is my hometown address, i would strongly prefer if they do not send to my hometown.

is it possible to walk-in to cimb card centre to request them to issue me a new pin and pay card?

also i'm want it sooner because i'll be travelling to the UK so would prefer to get the pin and pay card before that.

Am I spoilt their policy? Later they pull back my statement date to 28th  sweat.gif

But your cash rebate is still dated 29th correct?

Personally, I would really like to move the statement date. It differes from my other cards. Kinda annoying.

which card havent maximized the rebate yet... biggrin.gif

or is it also inside ur mind?? notworthy.gif

Personally I have an excel to track my financial stuff, including my credit card spending. So I know how much rebate I will get and how much of the quota I have used. But since I don't have quota issues usually, no excel also can la. I only have cimb which has that low quota for online...

Going through the promo banner still brings me to the same CIMB Clicks page and the same error message is shown. dry.gif

i applied from their website about 2 years ago. website, NOT cimbclicks. actually in the end still need to email my documents to the cimb staff.

ANYWAY, if you are at klang valley, you can walk-in to cimb credit card centres like sunway and klcc.

Our e-statement is currently undergoing maintenance.
do u all face similar thing when click for latest statement?
*
It's kinda normal. Since the statement date is on 28th, give it a few days before it's available or sent to your email. I usually check 2-3 days later. Or just wait for the email.

But the email is usually received 3-5 days later.

is JOMPay for TNB fall under the 2% Utilities category? the cash rebate amount reflected seems doesn't tally with what I have spent for TNB, Petrol & Groceries.

Expenses this month:
Groceries / Petrol / TNB - RM 456
Unifi - RM 200
Aliexpress - RM 57

Rebates:
CASH REBATE OTHER RETAIL - RM 1.15
CASH REBATE - RM 4.50
*
No TNB Jompay doesn't qualify under the 2% utilities. it will fall under 0.2%.
