if 0.2% then your cashback will be rm2.80 not rm28
*
RM28 is the total cashback including the 5% for my other purchases (if 0.2% for myEG). That's why I conclude myEG is 5%, because that's the only way my cashback would have become RM30.

Your other spending excluding myEg would have close to RM28 rebate?

I can confirm that myEG payments get 5%!

Actually i was expecting 0.2% but my Watami wasn't accepted, so since none of my cards really can get much better than 0.2% I just try.

Results, please check my maths:-
Other spending - RM544.48 (all confirmed 5%, things like Lazada, Qoo10, Zalora)
Insurance (myEG) payment - RM393.73
Cashback received - RM30 (exactly)

For me, that means must have gotten 5% to push my total cashback to exactly RM30. If get 0.2% my cashback should only be RM28 by my calculation.

you mean, hard to approve?
I think if you are well qualified, there is little reason why the bank won't approve. Unless there is issue on your CCRIS report.
since you've mentioned there was offer for the same before, it should be very easy for you.

guys, im planning to take the cimb platinum cash rebate mastercard

but theres one thing i dont understand regarding the fees & charges.

What is finance charges for retail transactions?
The charges are:

1.25% per month or 15% per annum if you have promptly settled your minimum payment due for 12 consecutive months
1.42% per month or 17% per annum if you have promptly settled your minimum payment due for at least 10 months in a 12-month cycle.
1.50% per month of 18% per annum if your payment record is not within either (a) or (b) above.

What is this? All i know is it is different from late payment charge coz it is stated separately in the website

You only need to worry about this payment if you pay minimum.
If you pay full and on time, banks earn nothing from you. So no worries. smile.gif

Hm.. Usually no problem. I called the CS and they say no issue. Then tell me maybe is it due to income requirement not match. I told them income requirement inserted more then required plus the system auto reduce ineligible card base on the amount u enter anyway so this excuse doesnt make sense. dry.gif

My suggestion is to go to Bank Negara and print out your CCRIS report. Check whether there's any special attention indicator in your report. Mine has this tagged by HLB previously. The reason being when I cancelled my HLB card, they didn't cancel my virtual card (for e-commerce). Later this virtual card was charged with Service Tax but no statement was sent to me. This resulted in the card became delinquent and record being tagged in CCRIS. The tag was only removed after I made a complain to HLB.

So if you have any doubts, the first thing to check for will be your CCRIS report.

Thanks for the advice. It has been quite a while also I didn't check my CCRIS. Maybe its about time.

Anyway, I did the manual way of "Call me" option and applied it that way. The girl told me their system today not very stable, even the current system she was using hang halfway.
