QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 15 2016, 10:24 AM) I think this case is different from UOB Payonline. Instead of putting UOB or UOB Payonline, it displays the payee name directly. Guess that's the reason why it's not classified as online for Payonline. Yeah, just noticed this on my UOB VOX as well as it shows TNB when I tested this payment few months ago, thank God, it is considered as online transactions under VOX. |

Hi, can I know anyone use CIMB Cash Rebate to purchase things via paypal in foreign currency. Will I get 5% cash back and there won't be cross border fee because trade in merchant currency right?

I have my CIMB CashRebate linked to my PayPal. Few days ago around 12midnight, I received SMS from CIMB showing a PayPal transaction using GBP. It was an unauthorized transaction. I called CIMB, and block the card. And I un-link all credit card from PayPal, change password. Make report to CIMB and PayPal.
Today I receive a new card with new number. Just to share here. And be careful if you have any credit card link with PayPal. |

If you're charged in their currency, you won't.To be safe, UOB Vox is much better in some sense because of this nonsense 0.8% cross border thingy.
