According to Uber, Uber is registered under the Merchant Category Code 4121, for Taxicabs and Limousines.

Just to double confirm with you, means that Uber transactions also entitled for the Online Ecom 5% CB then?

If yes, I am going to change to CIMB CB liao rclxm9.gif

Yes, I received cash rebate for Uber transaction via its app. smile.gif

QUOTE(hafizhans @ Dec 31 2015, 06:46 PM)
what else could be paid via POSonline also to get 5% cb?
*
QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 31 2015, 06:49 PM)
dont know. login and try.

disadvantage of using POSonline: need at least RM50 and 2% Convenience Fee Charges (with 6% GST on top of it) for using credit card.

not really worth it unless no other options.
*
Looking at posonline list of payees https://www.posonline.com.my/ecommerce/New1/PaymentList.asp

I can see got Unifi. Getting charged 2.12% (2% plus 6% on the charge) is okay if you don't have better cashback for unifi.

I applied VOX but rejected, so currently I can't really get cashback for unifi unless using AEON Watami. In any case, based on hafizhans report I will test with RM50 payment first, see if really can kena 5%. Report end of the month la =)

EDIT: Oops minimum RM50, will test that

EDIT2:
Basic maths
Bill: RM50
Payment: RM51.06
Cashback: RM51.06 * 0.05 = RM2.55
Effective cashback: RM2.55 - RM1.06 = RM1.49
Effective cashback percentage: RM1.49 / RM50 = 2.98%

Still more worth it to use Watami unless I already maxed that out. Nvm will try, I think I will sure max Watami soon anyway.

How do we reload our Alipay using CIMB CR?
I thought cards that not registered in China cannot use to reload Alipay? My China friend usually transferred money to my Alipay or she helps me to pay my Taobao purchases. biggrin.gif

That means direct payment to Taobao is it, I guess that's entitled for 5%.
There is a service charge of 3% I supposed, not worth for me.

I m using the Cimb visa infinite, all transactions are subject to 0.5%/1% rebates, no need to remember which merchant codes and monitor the credit use per month. No cap on the rebates more straight forward to me.

But the % is not as high as CIMB CR.

If you want a hassle free card, can get Aeon Watami but it excludes petrol.

Well, everyone has different needs, some don't mind the hassle while some find it troublesome.

No right or wrong.

Those cash return 5% are not exactly 5% based on the actual transaction amount, many formulas and cap assigned to each category. Very difficult to monitor for me
