How likely will i get my application approved? I already applied for Maybank 2 cards, but yet to receive it (postage).

have you called up to check your card application status?
no point keep on waiting if you are not even sure the application is approved or otherwise.

It's not only those merchants listed, if the currency is converted from overseas currency to MYR then you will be imposed with cross border charges.

You should go to Maybank Card Centre to seek for an update on the status. If they yet to issue the card, just ask them prepared the card on the spot and give it to you.

Purchase in MYR is the one you need to be careful, if it is overseas currency is fine.
Well, but merchants like Lazada, 11 Street and alike are pretty safe.

Thanks, and oopss, I think I posted on the wrong thread. Yes I've checked, and the cards are on its way to my office address. On a side note, can I apply credit card from another issuer (CIMB) within the same month? Is there any rules that I should be aware of?

You can and just up to the bank if approve or not.
I have tried few cards in a month, all approved.

TQ. I'm planning to apply at KLCC CIMB card centre, and I don't want to waste my time there if they are going to turn me down. Question, how will they set my credit limit? I don't want them to give me too much.

If below 36k p.a. annum, usually it is 2x-2.5x your current monthly salary. If above that, it is up to the bank to give it to you. I must say CIMB is pretty generous when comes to CL, so if you don't want so high, probably can tell them first before they assign you one.

Just received a call from cimb officer for my application via cimbclick that got rejected for cimb cr.

She told me its not rejected, but canceled due to late upload document, but, i actually waiting for the system to upload, then suddenly the application rejected.

Applied again with her, with rm50 cashback. a few minutes later received email application rejected.so fast.

called them whats wrong with my application, cs told me not meet the score.ask him whats the score, cant tell..

is it credit score ?

maybe...ask him how to pass the score, what is the requirement...

BNM will probably ignore you.

1st - It's up to banks to approve your application / applications based on their own criteria.

2nd - They are not obliged to disclose reason of rejection.

You'll probably get a nice call from someone to apologize for the rejection and ask you to try again 6 months later

But yeah, I do hope their online system improves. It's terrible by far.
