QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 2 2016, 11:23 PM) Why credit cards always earn less cash back than advertised http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...han-advertised/Good read though most of the things mentioned here, the seasoned users know already. I can even guess which cards were mentioned in the article. LYN still the best source...

QUOTE(neo_6053 @ Aug 17 2016, 04:49 PM) my UOB card got RM168 annual fee, any way to waive? else thinking to cancel. seems HongLeong wise card is much better (for my petrol & grocery spend) You can try calling in to request for waiver. If you've not swiped any transactions after the fee charge, you can cancel the card.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Oct 31 2016, 02:33 PM) Like to know how my dad a retiree can apply for credit card. No income means cannot apply for card? Pledge card credit as FD to the bank? Can use EPF or other savings as income? Other way? Thanks. Your dad got any existing credit card? I think the easiest would be applying a supplementary card. He gets to share your credit limit or you can specify the sup card limit.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Nov 1 2016, 11:57 AM) Mind stating roughly how much is substantial? >RM500K, > RM1 million etc ? Asking here whether sup card is ok for parents. Thought it is only for spouse and children. Should be ok to apply for parents. I heard even sibling also can.

Dear sifus, need you inputs here... My statement balance is RM1,443.79 I paid RM1,433.79 before due date. That's RM10 short to full payment. Error on my part. To my horror, got interest charged of RM16.89 Failed to get waiver from the bank.
According to the bank, the interest is charged based on the statement amount, RM1,443.79 and from the date of the first transaction of that statement cycle.
Is that true? Anyone with similar experience?

QUOTE(dannychen @ Apr 25 2017, 10:44 PM) did you swipe any thing after you have made your payment. as far as i'm concern, they will charge you interest for RM10 as outstanding amount plus all new transactions will be subject to interest immediately as well. QUOTE(yuyan @ Apr 26 2017, 08:40 AM) Yes. This happened to me before. And subsequent transactions swipe after the statement cycle will kena interest as well. I did swipe after the interest charge. Oh gosh... Not aware of the interest on new swipes. Better settle all outstanding balances...
