question about the pin and pay, existing card which already have pin ( for ATM access ), is that compatible with the pin and pay? or they still need to replace a new card to compatible with pin for payment?

My newly approved mach card confirm is a pinandpay card. How do I confirm there is a need to get replacement for pinandpay enabled card for my MBB 2 card, Ikhwan, watami?

PIN and Pay card will be equipped with higher security measures in the chip.

and yes, all old cards that are not pin and pay ready will be replaced gradually this year.
No, you don't have to request for it to change. the bank will most likely send a new replacement as the card reaches its anniversary.

Thanks for the information. All my other card expiry is over 2017. So they will only replace it during anniversary? I thought that is a must that it should use pin and pay by 1st jan 2017?

Anniversary is yearly, my dear.
I am not referring to expiry.

Oh. Misunderstood. Thanks a lot.

QUOTE(ddevil @ Feb 7 2016, 01:34 PM)
does anyone know how do the banks calculate your per annum income? how do we know we earn enough to qualify
according to my EA form, i definitely earn much more than the per annum requirement by the card, but still the bank rejects my application based on the reason that my per annum income was not enough...
the documents that i submitted on the spot are only IC & KWSP for the last year 2015
thank you!
*
When i apply mach by hong leong, i saw they enter income via EPF is by entering the last 6 month of epf member contributtion. The system then calculate the average contribution and determine the annum income based on 11% contribution rate.

Note : for annual income less than 36000 can only hold maximum 2 cards based on BNM rules.

2 banks' cards actually. It's because all credit limit will be shared for the same bank.

P/s: Not the same for M2Cards and Ikhwan because not sharing same limit.
*
Thanks for correction smile.gif
So should be not more than 2 sets of credit limit.

bank will send us the new pin and pay card on our card annivesary regardless of our expiry date, right?

The new card i believe will have same card number, but how about the CVV number or expiry date? Will it be different?

Do I need to update all auto billing / paypal linked / ps store linked credit card information?

Yeah, the GE only has an extra 0.1% for IPP.

OCBC cards damn boring laugh.gif Once auto debit insurance, can keep in drawer forever..

When i check ocbc card this morning i accidentally bump into ocbc Singapore site and notice their card quite attractive compare to malaysia

Eg: ocbc 365 (Singapore ver)
and frank credit card

Yup, I saw the post sharing by some one there, but still haven't confirm yet.

I will still spend on Watami Card since the point almost reach 12500

for Younique, if take RM1000 as example, ya OCBC GE is better, but if monthly spending is higher (RM2000 >) could be consider on this card too
*
Thredshold is around 1500.
Ge get 1000x1% + 500*0.5% = 12.5
Younique get 1000* 0.5% + 500*1.5% = 12.5
If over rm1500 spend, i believe younique is better.
Btw, younique cashback include insurance? i didnt see it mention from their TnC, so would consider include?

Hi, need some advice.
recently my mach CC and UOB VOX approved on Jan and Feb.

Since the watami rumor, I am thinking to get either younique or GE plat.
Do you think they will approve? or I better wait for few months then only apply younique or GE plat. How long do you suggest ?

I have around 2 years old GE policy, do you think it has higher chance to get the GE plat approve compare to younique?

3 months. but if you also already have many other cc than just mach and vox, your chances to get approved also will be lower, unless you have an increment of salary.
*
Thanks, then will apply around May/Jun tongue.gif

are Great Eastern insurance premium best paid using OCBC card?

Looking for cash rebate for GE premium. any other card to recommend?
*
1. aeon watami for 3.4% if you have. Not accept new application now.
2. alliance younique for 1 - 1.67% if your monthly spend is 1.5k - 3k include that insurance monthly premium
3. Ocbc GE platinum for 1% in first 1k spend
4. Hong leong essential for 0.6% first 5k spend

none of the situations above i able to fulfills...  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

monthly premium RM200, some yearly RM5k & RM2k. that's all.

Guess any card will be look the same for me then. Thank!
*
if you do not plan to have any other spending on the card except insurance.
since only 2 in your month got higher spend of 5k and 2k
you can get Alliance Younique
for rm200, can get rm1 (0.5%)
during 5.2k charge, can get rm5(0.5%) + rm15 (1.5%) + rm30(3%) + rm6.6(0.3%) = rm56.6
during 2.2k charge, can get rm5(0.5%) + rm15 (1.5%) + rm6(3%) = rm26
in a year, you get rm1*10 + rm56.6 +rm26 = 92.6 for insurance premium

while for ocbc GE
if charge only rm200, can get rm2 (1%)
during 5.2k charge, can get rm10(1%) + rm21 (0.5%)= rm31
during 2.2k charge, can get rm10(1%) + rm6(0.5%) = rm16
in a year, you get rm2*10 + rm31 +rm16 = 67 for insurance premium

can email to request for it too...however, I emailed last week, still no respond.

Email i thought is for those outside klang valley or inaccessible to BNM branch.
Will try to email then.

Take KTM but you need to walk quite far in.
There are plenty of parking spaces in BNM, you only need less than 5 minutes to print it if the kiosks are not occupied.
My last visit was quite pleasant, fast and easy. I took KTM from KL Sentral since my office is in KL Sentral.
*
Do you mean inside BNM building?
My places is no where near to any public transport, unless i park in station and use public transport but it will be costy than i drive there and park. I believe within 1 hour can settle all.

Besides the ccris report, they rate u by giving credit score like usa, they collect ur credit info via various source, including whether u r bankrupt, in any lawsuit, u hold/held any director position in any company, ur residential address history, any party check ur finantial info n etc..

and and and..convinient for ppl like myself tat cant/hard/lazy to go to bnm to get the free ccris report..or wan to get the report as soon as posible..u can view ur report, depends on what time and from which provider u request the report from, either instantly, in an hour to few hours time or the next working day from their web portal or ur email account.. smile.gif

thumbup.gif i see, thanks a lot both of you.

I have an unauthorized transaction of RM500 from paypal Sony.
Sony already refund me the RM500.
But too bad the transaction of debiting RM500 fall before my statement date and the refund fall after my statement date.

This end up I have extra rm500 in my statement balance and refund of RM500 in my unbilled transaction.
I don't need to pay that RM500 in this case, right?
