QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 21 2016, 10:17 AM) You can call to cancel first and settle the bill when statement is out but bear in mind for cards which give cash back, probably after cancelled, you will not get any cash back. Keyword: Probably. It's okay. I am just trying to avoid the annual fee.I think it will be like what you said since the rebates will be on next month's statement. So if I cancelled it now the rebates are gone. This post has been edited by Duckies: Jul 21 2016, 11:32 AM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 13 2016, 01:26 PM) Who says you can't apply MACH? No such rule. Dunno wo, the sales guy said since I cancelled Wise just last month so might not get free annual fee waive or apply new card from Hong Leong. You haven't got your VOX I supposed? I don't think you can apply it anymore, already stopped receiving new applications. Just apply for Vox this morning...the guy said will help me try to submit but he didn't tell me that Vox is gonna be replaced with something else pun...then he asked me to submit PTPTN document...since now Vox gonna be replaced I am still thinking I wanna submit or not |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 13 2016, 02:06 PM) I supposed you tried to apply via booth or agent? He was just lying to you lo. Just go to MACH permanent booth to apply, like in MV, Pavilion, Paradigm Mall to apply. I tried to apply through the booth in Queensbay. Not sure where's the Mach permanent booth in Penang It doesn't matter. It won't be accepted anymore in HQ. It's only expected to be out in 2-3 months time but VOX is no longer available for new applicants. You can try though. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 13 2016, 02:33 PM) I supposed you can apply in any HLB banks too. Else, just download form from online and submit via email or anything. The guy didn't want to do your business because he won't earn anything from you as you are not considered as a new HLB customer. That's why he came with that excuse. Ah I see no wonder. Aiseh like that I apply online easier. Now thinking of a replacement for Vox This post has been edited by Duckies: Aug 13 2016, 02:43 PM |

1 question on the CCRIS thing. If I got rejected from credit card application, does it show on the record? Will it impact anything on future loan like house or car loan?

Well PBB came out with 2 new cards, need some brain storming with all sifus here.
Currently I am still holding Citibank Cash Rebate, Maybank 2 Card and CIMB Cash Rebate. I only use Citibank if they do not accept AMEX. CIMB Cash Rebate for online. Initially plan to apply Standard Chartered Just One Platinum...just dump all into this card and get 85 rebate once I hit 2.5k transaction. Now thinking if I really need Just One or can play around with these 2 PBB cards. Can't get UOB Yolo - got rejected last time and haven't pass the 6 months cool down period yet. My monthly spendings + my family since I sub my card to them is usually around 3-6k Petrol (my mom and I usually pump on weekend and Shell mostly) = 400 Petrol (my dad but he will pay at counter only instead of the machine and only pump for weekdays - Petron or BHP) = 1k Dining = 300-600 Online Payment (bills and some online shopping) = 300-1k depends on shopping Groceries = 200-300 Other retails = 1-2k What I had in mind for now is that: Maybank AMEX: Petrol (my mom and I) Groceries PBB Quantum: Dining Online Payment Standard Chartered Just One: Petrol (my dad) Other retails This post has been edited by Duckies: Mar 23 2017, 09:33 AM |

QUOTE(v1nc3nt90 @ Mar 23 2017, 09:43 AM) Quantum dining and online sharing CB cap of RM30. So u might still wanna keep ur CIMB CR for online as ur monthly dining is already 300 - 600. But CIMB CR not really good in paying bills online ever since POS Online don't accept CCpayment atm. So you still need to play around the limit. Could use PBB Quantum solely for dining and CIMB CR for Online |

QUOTE(v1nc3nt90 @ Mar 23 2017, 09:52 AM) May be u can shift ur Grocery (departmental spending) to Quantum Visa (another RM30 CB cap from Online/Dining on Quantum MC). Then use MBB Amex to pay bills on weekend and CIMB CR for online purchase. That should work perfectly to utilise CB for each card. Eh AMEX can pay bills on weekend? Using UOBPayOnline?Well. Just my two cents for your consideration. |

QUOTE(v1nc3nt90 @ Mar 23 2017, 09:58 AM) I used to pay my TNB, Unifi, telco with MBB Amex through M2U on weekend before the change the CB category to Dining only. Since now they introduced back on every spending so i guess it will still work. Ah yes, I vaguely remember I was doing that also before they changed the TnC. I guess I can shift around for bill payments to AMEX and groceries to other cards. Thanks for reminding ya! |
