QUOTE(peigeng @ Jul 14 2016, 08:22 PM) If say I have a card with credit limit of 10k ,but I know in two week time ,I will swipe something with my card for 30k and I wish to collect point from that swipe, can I transfer another 20k to my credit card account and inform my bank that I want to swipe 30k without getting reject by merchant? Yes you can. However, for Maybank cards, you can't transfer via M2U as it cannot accept over-payment. You can only use CDM actually to bank in the money. GIRO from other banks is also possible but not any account from Maybank. I only know Maybank because my main bank account is from there.

Great...then is it a must to inform bank after cdm in order to get this done? This post has been edited by peigeng: Jul 14 2016, 09:30 PM

CIMB CR tagged it under groceries if I'm not mistaken. UOB VOX is online. QUOTE(peigeng @ Jul 14 2016, 09:29 PM) Great...then is it a must to inform bank after cdm in order to get this done? No need. You can just spend it.

If you have good credit history, they may just allow you a one off increase in limit, if you ask.....I have done that before....and I still get the 50 days interest free credit if timed right....

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Jul 20 2016, 08:47 PM) how do i appeal? call the bank? Yes, ask CS if you can appeal for your recent rejection. Ask if they need any further documents or anything. Note: If only you fulfill the requirements, then can try since you are think it should be OK. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 20 2016, 09:01 PM

guys quick q.
actually just thought of this as hsbc flooded me with their emails.
for easy payment plans, our intended purchase price must be within the limits of our credit card limit ??
coz i was wondering why would they have 36 months easy payment plans if my card cant swipe way above my limit?

You can call to cancel first and settle the bill when statement is out but bear in mind for cards which give cash back, probably after cancelled, you will not get any cash back. Keyword: Probably.

Keyword: Probably. It's okay. I am just trying to avoid the annual fee. I think it will be like what you said since the rebates will be on next month's statement. So if I cancelled it now the rebates are gone. This post has been edited by Duckies: Jul 21 2016, 11:32 AM

hey guys,
I bought an item online with credit card worth RM300 and after 10 days the seller inform me no stock. He ask me if it's okay if he refund. He say refund into credit card will take 7-14 working days. I say ok la.
But then i think, now my cc statement is coming on 23/7/16 with the RM300 already billed. How now? Pay the RM300 for a product i did not receive? Should i call bank or what?

Else, when the refund comes in, call bank and ask if can offset against the statement amount. I had refund before too but because I still use the card, so let it offset my future purchases while I pay that amount first to avoid any interest due to shortpayment.
