Taste will vary from person to person. The Snubnose works for me @ 3mm 8 wraps nichrome coils, AFC open at 50%. Minimal parts, easy to build and reproduces mid and top notes accurately when the juice is fired at a suitable wattage.

Hi guys noob question again.
Im trying to understand batteries.

Ok lets take that i use a kangertax kbox mini with single vtc5.
I read the vtc5 documentation :
30A-40A : 33seconds
50A : <18s
60A : <15s
80A : <9s
100A : <3s

And im using http://www.steam-engine.org/ (as some of you guys suggested) for calculation.

My question here is, still, how high(wattage) can i fire my mod? Isn't one battery discharges at 3.7 volt max? So with a 0.5Ohm setting, i shouldnt be firing more than 28.8 wattage right? Which translates to 3.7volts?

I ask this is because i got another friend that is using the Gang Mod, fires at 40+ wattage with 0.5Ohm coils. I mean,i dont think he knows whats hes doing but neither am i. So I am trying to find out about this.

So in case my understanding is correct, my second question would be, if i use 2 battery mod, does it mean i can fire at a higher voltage/wattage?

Thanks.

2 battery mods can be in two diff configurations:
In series: the voltage is increased but not the max amp rating. (eg: amp load is not shared)
In parallel: the amp is increased, so is the MAH

try lookin up the battery junkies thread in VapingUG or the battery thread in ECF.

If u knew how many snubbies I actually use daily, u'd think me mad...so let's leave it at 3  smile.gif

If you want to compare the snubnose to derringer, you'll have to ask yourself what u prefer:

3 posts with 4 holes or 3 posts with 3 holes?
Cyclops AFC with open flow and more positioning options, or cyclops AFC with 3 restrictive holes?

It all depends on what u r looking for. I've always preferred the snubbie because of the AFC. And if you had to rebuild a bunch of them daily, you'd appreciate the 4 holes for a less-fiddly time. But that's just me. IMO flavor quality between the two are almost the same. The difference in flavor is not as pronounced as say, between the Mad Hatter and Mad Hatter mini.

Tobeco clones are very cheep...not much of a risk to buy one of each model and compare for yourself.

i think i wud prefer more holes...with a bit of restriction
and i could totally imagine building them daily hahaha... flex.gif
but gladly appreciate the input
will try getting a clone to try it out.
mind sharing wad builds are u running for ur daily?

I reverted to nichrome months ago and it feels like 2010 again  biggrin.gif ....the short stint with iron-tasting kanthal was bleah. 3mm diameter 8 wraps does the trick for me most of the time.

looks like u and i are in the same boat. hahaha. rclxms.gif biggrin.gif
