You don't appreciate your D2 enough. Go compare TC with your D2 and RX. Then you'll appreciate your D2 a LOT more!!

I can't find any flaw yet.. Workmanship imo very neat.. Similar to my uwell crown..

The only potential issue i learn about this tank is not too over tighten the top cap and the tank to the base.. It doesn't need to be screw until it hard stop. How to explain, it starts with screw threads and at the end there is o-ring, once u screw until reach the o-ring, thats enough..Happened to me this morning, the juice flow control stuck, and when i want to remove top cap to suck out juice, the middle post got unscrew instead and my juice spill out.. Then i need to disassemble everything.

Wow, RM45 for Clapton wire is Penang "price gouging to the max" vape shop price! UD clapton? Got mine for around USD5 for 15ft. from China site. You can try Hyper Vape for UD wires - prices reasonable. Or ask Vail.

How many watts do you need to fire at to get a good vape? With clapton wires, above 60W?

Yep, rm45 for 15 feet, thats from Vape69 at Bandar Tasik Permaisuri. @vail selling? How much? Would want to stock up more

Currently firing 50watt.. One thing about this coil tho, it quite slow to get hot, and then when it hot, it really do, and it takes sometime to cool down too.. Tank get hot.. Or maybe its just i did this coil wrongly
*
If you're gonna stock up, may as well order everything from Fasttech. Stainless steel wires, Kanthal, Clapton in various gauges.
For Clapton wires, don't use a coiler. Just coil by hand - easy to get it tight.
No dry hits? Hows juice consumption? Lol!

Cheapos like me don't wanna pay for shipping from Lightning Vapes! Lol

Should I try twisted SS 316L or SS 316L + Nichrome?
*
Aren't you already using 24 gauge? Just how fat a wire do you wanna make? Twisted 316 will lower the resistance of the wire. 316 + Nichrome twisted and the wire will remain the resistance of the 316. Is this what you're asking?

this griffin, eventhough i close the juice hole, and keep on vaping, the cotton never gets dry, and the liquid seems like still sipping into the chamber, weird... if i keep the holes open, juice ran out quite fast.. there is no apparent leak though.. but maybe juice overflooding the wick inside, hence the popping sound.. maybe my wick is not properly done yet.. still experimenting on this
*
Regarding the popping sound - Try using more cotton. Actually popping sound is quite normal isn't it?
As for your "wet outside of the glass tank", isn't there an o-ring under the glass? Tighten everything.

JimL hey bro, finally tried my titanium build and use it on my RX d, so far after few hours of vaping, din jump out of TC yet.

but problem is, even firing at 30W on the 0.5ohm single coil, fire 1 second hit temp control d lol. i set it at 540F somemore....is this the underfiring u meant??
*
Hahahahaha....... Joyetech/Wismec/Happytetek fanboi budakdegilz is going to say you got a 'lemon' unit!

You can fire it at 600F - its not even hot. Thats UNDERFIRING.
Try firing at 500F in your D2 - see how hot it is.

Totally can't vape when it hits Temp Protect right? Cos it stops firing after a second. Sometimes instantly.
The RX is wrongly calibrated. Its not for our local warm weather. Cool the RX & atty in an aircon room. Then when the mod & atty is really cool, lock in the resistance. - Thats one way to overcome the 'Temp Protect' issues.

The RX chip is utter shite when compared to a Yihi chip. If you set the resistance in the D2 while the mod & atty is still warm, the D2 will just fire hotter. It won't go to 'Temp Protect' and stop firing.

RX is using same chip as eVIc VTC Mini, no? its from Joyetech..? but vtc mini quite ok lor, maybe the software shiat.. if that is the case, hope they will revamp the software.. thats why i never use TC on this RX too.. i consider it as a "hulk" only, mighty and lot of energy, but on the muscle only, the brain can't really work. LOL  biggrin.gif
*
Well from what I've read in Joyetech forum, the Evic Mini has had its share of problems. From jumping out of TC mode to Temp Protect issues as well.
My RX has jumped out of TC mode to power mode a number of times. Good thing I use 316L Stainless Steel wires for TC. Nickel and Titanium might have released toxic stuff if its fired in power mode.

But the biggest problem is the 'Temp Protect' issues. Hit the fire button - nothing happens. Shows 'Temp Protection' on the screen. Can't vape at all. Since I use 316L wire I switch it to power mode then.

Thinking of getting a Reuleaux DNA instead.

TC using D2 now nuff said laugh.gif
underpower woi ccb, reckon it's the profiling problem probably? hopefully they can fix it tho...right now using mini BBC on RX lol
*
Lolol! RX not so gooding after all huh?

Four versions of D2. V2.0, V3.0, V3.0A & V3.4. Which one do you have?
I've bought all four. Only have the V3.0A & V3.4 left. The V3.0A is my favourite - its overfiring! Lol! Max I use it is 480F. Way too hot above that.

v3.0A

but TC aside, RX works perfectly on power mode for me which i use the most these days anyway so still gooding for me icon_idea.gif
besides, its cheaper than my D2 when i bought it at vapeempire as my first mod so not gonna complain lol.

hot as in device get hot or vapor too hot for u? i fire 500F even on my D2 easy peezy no hot....well unless i do it for an hour straight la
*
Hot as in the atty got hot. Vapor hot as well. I used a Goblin Mini that time. Not the most airflow. If you used an atty with more airflow then you can vape at higher temp.
But the RX is a joke. I have it at 600F to delay the temp protect kicking in. Vapor is not even hot.

You mentioned Poison Brew juice one time. How is it? Which one to get?
Gonna order batts from Alexng. I'll add the juice in my order.

Well do I have some good news for you RX200 owners, HappyTetek is making an off brand app based on Escribe which will let you have the same customization as the case with DNA200. Ofc this'll include a custom TCR setting so that's nice.

I'm still not gonna press the "Check Out" button on this just yet until they finally released it but hey, at least you don't have to throw it out the window just yet JimL
*
There's a lot to fix. TCR settings isn't going to stop it going to 'Temp Protection'. How the hell did Joyetech screw it up so badly. Even the 'no name' China TC mods works!
My RX jumps out of TC mode almost daily. In TC mode, I've gotten dry hits. Pull off the topcap from my RDA to have a look. Press the fire button and the coil glowed, then cotton burst into flames.

Yikes that's way to high for me. 500f is all I need and that's for my 'warm' juices.
Just skip TC honestly. It was nice when it first came up but now it's just smoke and mirrors imo. If you're worth your shit then it'll all came down to the wicking. Hell, I'm blasting 60w on my Velocity and still no Satan ass burn on my tounge.
laugh.gif which I suspect is the main cause of Joytech coming up with the Escribe knock off. "Here, fix it yourself". But bloody hell, on fire even with a primed wick? Something's fucky here and I thought the stock unit was bad.
*
Coil isn't supposed to glow in TC mode, right? Lol. Temp Protection is supposed to kick in before that.
Anyway, I remove the burnt cotton then hit the fire button again - temp protect kicked in! Go figure.

Btw, 600F in the RX only feels like 420F in a D2. In my RX, 500F and 600F feels almost the same.

3rd maybe give YiHi another go??  laugh.gif

the only mod that has never disappoint me is my Incubus LOLOLOL
*
Why is the D2 disappointing? I'm happy with mine. Everything works for me. Good battery life as well.

And........you're happy with a mod that weighs twice as heavy as a Rulo!

is the power mode that bugged me quite a bit deswai, but im happy with the TC of coz and the battery life i get from it.
i pair it with my RH looked petite and sexy yo.

i like it heavy  brows.gif

You're letting the having to switch to TC mode to access step down bother you. Thats pretty silly. Why? - Cos
you're using TFV4, Bellus, Crown & RDAs. None of them will even give you a good vape at low wattage.

In TC mode, batt life was about two days for me. Plenty happy about that.

hallucinogen Maybe instead of buying 3 Griffins, you should have bought at least 1 Crius. Then you can compare it. Can't fit big ass fancy coils in it but with a small deck/chamber, you'll get great flavor from a normal coil. And you can use the Crius at a lower wattage.

but i have to warn everyone that the griffin is a juice sucker! its my 5th day with this tank, my grandmaster juice already less than half, and i only used that juice on this tank alone. that with the juice hole closed most of times
*
You pulse for a bit before you vape - juice used.
Clapton wires - slow to cool down resulting in juice vaporized even after you release the fire button.

I did tell you to buy a Crius to compare against the Griffin.
Smaller deck/chamber = less power needed = less juice consumed.
