no need, you can use normal kanthal or nichrome in TC mode.. just switch to TC mode then lock resistance by pressing up & down at same time

then set joule as you like

its ok, i'm quite free now so can help

to lock resistance, just press the 2 small button at same time.. the screen should show ohm only for brief moment (1-2 sec).. no need to press power button

both also can, but i prefer spaced as its easier. just make one then put at tank and slide cotton in, no need to pulse for hotspot

microcoil SS quite troublesome as it'll degrade the wire quicker because need to pulse for hotspot checking, IMO. end up your wire turns black-ish.
