KLk gonna open up another township next to Jardin side, 2k acre with another 50 acre of park inside, direct access to Guthrie highway. Something like that. For education, SJKC Q1 next year hopefully, another SK and SMK beside hibiscus( awaiting gov approval) , inviting another Chinese independent school beside the Tamil school. An MOU was signed by KLK Land and Kuen Cheng High School last Friday to build a branch campus at Bandar Seri Coalfields. My Webpage With rising enrollment, the existing campus of Kuala Lumpur's Chung Cheng High School on Jalan Syed Putra is reaching capacity. To meet the growing demand, the board of directors of Kuala Lumpur's Chung Cheng High School recently decided to establish a branch campus. After extensive coordination and site visits, the site was finally chosen for the branch campus at Bandar Seri Coalfields in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The 9.78-acre site, allocated by KLK Land in Bandar Seri Coalfields, was allocated to Chung Cheng Holistic Education Sdn Bhd for the establishment of Chung Cheng High School II. In order to promote the smooth development of the branch school construction, KLK Land and KLK Education Co., Ltd. held a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony at the KLK High School Library on July 25, and the signing was signed by Tan Sri Chong Ting Sen, Chairman of KLK High School and Chairman of KLK High School, and Tan Sri Lee Ai Xian, Executive Chairman of KLK Land. This signing ceremony not only opened the curtain for the construction of KLK High School No. 2, but also created a better learning hall for future students and wrote a new chapter for the Chinese education cause in Malaysia. In his welcome speech, Tan Sri Chong Ting Seng, Chairman of Kuen Cheng Holistic Education Sdn Bhd and Chairman of Kuen Cheng High School, noted that Kuen Cheng High School has experienced rapid growth over the past 15 years, with a record high of 2,220 applicants for the 2024 entrance examination. However, due to limited school space and classroom space, approximately half of the applicants are unsuccessful in the annual entrance examination, which is regrettable. Meanwhile, over the past decade, students at Kwan Seng High School have consistently achieved exceptional results in the Unified Examinations (UECs) and the Senior Secondary (SPM) examinations. In the 2024 SPM, a record-breaking 550 students achieved 5A or higher, representing 68.3% of all candidates. This achievement not only reflects Kwan Seng High School's academic excellence, but also demonstrates the recognition and praise for its students' character, sense of responsibility, and sense of community. Tan Sri Chong Tin Seng said that the establishment of a branch school is not only to alleviate the problem of insufficient classroom space, but also to shoulder the mission of continuing the lifeline of mother tongue education. The establishment of a branch school will provide a high-quality education platform for more students, and also contribute to the inheritance of national culture and the consolidation of mother tongue education. He further emphasized that the branch school will fully continue the fine traditions of the school in terms of teachers, hardware equipment, curriculum framework and educational spirit, and integrate the development direction of future education, including scientific and technological literacy, international vision and humanistic care, and is committed to cultivating a new era of youth with comprehensive literacy. Finally, Tan Sri Chong Ting Seng also expressed his sincerest gratitude to KLK Land Executive Chairman Tan Sri Lee Ai Xian on behalf of all the teachers and students of Kuala Lumpur Kuan Cheng High School and the Chinese community. In his speech, KLK Land Executive Chairman Tan Sri Lee Ai Xian pointed out that KLK Land firmly believes that education is an important force for positive change and the foundation for promoting community transformation. Therefore, the group has always regarded the promotion of meaningful educational projects as a corporate social responsibility and is committed to bringing long-term impact to the society by providing quality education opportunities. For this reason, when Tan Sri Chong Tin Seng proposed that KLK Land intends to set up a new branch in Selangor, KLK Land believes that this plan is highly consistent with its core corporate values. He said that the "holistic education" philosophy upheld by KLK Land is consistent with the direction of the group, so this cooperation is more like an extension of the group's mission, aiming to enable every community and every individual to have the opportunity to receive quality education. He further pointed out that the establishment of Kuen Cheng High School II will complement other existing schools in Bandar Seri Coalfields, such as Methodist Private School, Ladang Coalfields Tamil Primary School, and Lee Loy Seng Chinese Primary School, which is expected to be completed in January 2028, to jointly build a complete educational ecosystem. This not only addresses the current challenge of insufficient educational space in the Klang Valley, but also creates an ideal living environment for growth, living and education in Bandar Seri Coalfields. Finally, he expressed his vision for the collaboration between Kun Cheng Holistic Education Co., Ltd. and KLK Land, expressing his hope that both parties will be able to jointly build a positive learning environment for the next generation. At the signing ceremony, Tan Sri Chong Tin Seng and Tan Sri Lee Oi Hsien, witnessed by delegations from both sides, jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the establishment of a second KLK High School. They also exchanged souvenirs, symbolizing the harmonious partnership and unwavering commitment between the two parties. Other guests attending the ceremony included KLK Land representatives Ms. Lee Wen Ling, Mr. Ku Kok Peng, Ms. Hoh Chui Lai, Mr. Ray Liaw, Ms. Mandy Chong, Ms. Sze Sze, Mr. Robin, Ms. Chin Su Ci, Ms. Jaclyn Lim, Kuala Lumpur Chung Cheng High School Board of Directors representatives Tan Sri Chong Chang Kok, Ms. Chen Dazhen, Dato's Chong Tze Cheng, Dato's Lin Han Wen, Dato's Chen Huaian, Mr. Luo Qihua, Mr. Tai Yoon Jen, and Chung Cheng High School Principal Cai Lili. If you want toll free, the old road towards Persiaran surian via Kota Damansara, you’ll have to leave before 6.15am. |

SELANGOR (Nov 12): KLK Land Sdn Bhd, the property arm of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KL:KLK), has secured a slate of anchor tenants for its upcoming Coalfields Retail Park in Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh, with the development on track to open by the end of the second quarter in 2026.
Confirmed tenants include Village Grocer, HarborLand, Skechers’ largest store in Southeast Asia, Decathlon, Harvey Norman, Maybank and Serai Seafood Restaurant. Other names set to open at the site include The Social, Lisette’s Café & Bakery, Lavender Bakery, K Fry, Super Saigon, Blue Ice Skating Rink, Panda Eyes, Pickle Park and KKV. In a press statement issued on Wednesday, KLK Land managing director Lee Wen Ling said the tenant milestone brings the development a step closer to realising its vision as a community destination. “With the arrival of our key tenants, we are one step closer to realising our vision for Coalfields Retail Park as a meaningful retail and social destination that serves the community, fosters connection and brings people together,” she said. The mall is part of KLK Land’s broader plan to transform Bandar Seri Coalfields into a sustainable township serving the Greater North Klang Valley. Occupying a gross built-up area of one million sq ft, the hybrid lifestyle mall will comprise 135 retail lots and 925 parking bays. It is expected to draw over five million annual visitors from residential zones within a 20- to 30-minute drive radius. The retail park features a hybrid indoor-outdoor layout and will be directly linked to a seven-acre lake park. Strategically located within the Rawang-Puncak Alam-Sungai Buloh-Ijok-Kuala Selangor corridor, the development is designed to serve as a new regional centre for commerce and leisure. Coalfields Retail Park has also been provisionally awarded the GreenRE Gold Certification under the Non-Residential Building category. KLK Land earlier this year announced its education partnership with Kuen Cheng Holistic Education Bhd, which will add to an integrated education zone in Bandar Seri Coalfields that includes Wesley Methodist Private School and the upcoming SJK © Lee Loy Seng. https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/779474 This post has been edited by mascot_lim: Nov 13 2025, 02:47 PM |
